  1. Didn't Rockstar announce that there would be some returning characters? I could have sworn I read that in a topic in the News section.

I thought so too, that it would take place sometime after GTA3. However, if you read the article mentioned above, you will find out that GTA4 is not based on old characters, old storylines or even stores (ammu-nation) . Even though it's a shame, this also leads to a brand new GTA experience.

  2. Actually, I believe there is a time limit for this mission. You are supposed to drive Ray to the airport before his plane takes off. After you get to the airport, then the timer goes away; you still have to drive to Ray's lock-up to collect his gifts in order to complete the mission.

  3. One reason why VCS is my favorite game are the side mission checkpoints. Once you completed a level that was a multiple of 5, you would start at the next level whether you failed or cancelled the side mission. What's your opinion about this feature and should it be included in future GTA games?

  4. You must complete level 10 and your health goes up 25 points (You start the game with 100 points and would then have 125 points upon completion). A strategy that is commonly used is to pause and look at your map. You can plan your routes since you will need to make at least 2 trips after level 6. Other than that, you kind of have to get lucky.

  5. Is it easier to snag a rhino in lcs compared to gta3...if you get 6stars?

To answer your question, no. In GTA 3, you can find a rhino at Phil's Army Surplus after you complete his mission. In LCS, you can only get the rhino by getting six stars (Shoreside Vale must be unlocked) or as you progress through the game, but I won't say anything.

  6. Playing pool would be a good feature. I bet it will be similar to San Andreas (aim first, then shoot the ball at a desired spot). In addition, I did remember hearing about a Jamaican/Carribean dealer in the storyline.

  7. Whenever you are in Los Santos, you can make quick and easy money by killing drug dealers all over LS. Along with a handgun, each dealer will usually have around $2000. Not bad for a start. I also believe prostitutes drop a big chunk of money.

  8. Sorry about that, I was just never expecting that (on the map the hood is a light yellow color so it's somewhat hidden). Anyway, I was able to find the "gift".

It's basically a melee weapon that you would normally use for assault

. I'm pretty sure it has another purpose.

  9. The glitch probably only affects game consoles then (I play GTA on PS2). I did remember hearing on another forum that the glitch affected your game after you saved "Rumble" mission, which is the last of the D-Ice strand. The only way to avoid the glitch was to play a game on another file before the mission was saved. Even new games would be affected. I was actually able to start a new game without my memory card in, but then inserted it back in and the purple nines appeared later.

  10. The drive-by in Witchata Gardens. Kept getting swarmed. Did finally beat it.

Do you mean "Uzi Money"? Now I remember, this was my least favorite part of the game. It wasn't the mission itself, it was that Purple Nines glitch (none of them appear) that ruined the whole game. You couldn't obtain 100% completion with this glitch.

  11. Firefighter pays well, as does vigilante. $1m payoff at level 168? UO?

    lol yh, paramedic just bites.

This is VC. In LCS, you get paid for doing vigilante missions based on this formula ($50 x level).

I guess if you get to level 168, you should keep going since you're making $8400 at the minimum.

  12. the ai was unbearable. peds running into walls? yet i loved the gang difficulties. the "don't come around my part of town or I'll blow you up with my shotgun shells in your car"-Leone mafia [once on their bad side]! haha

Speaking of AI, remember the paramedic mission. The AI of the patients was ridiculous; they would start to run to your ambulance when you were getting in position to pick them up. This would usually end up resulting in running them over and doing the paramedic mission all over again. How annoying.
