  1. Rockstar have taken the decision to delay the PC release of GTA V once again (oh well, it happens to every GTA). This time the date has slipped another two months to the 24th March, reasoning that more time is needed for final testing and polish. Some of the more cynical readers may be aware that this is when Rockstar's fiscal year ends, which pushes GTAV's sales into the next fiscal year... Though one wonders why it wouldn't have been delayed until March in the first place. Regardless of the real reasoning (it's kind of irrelevant at this point), fans will be expecting nothing short of a flawless port now. Judging by the system specs revealed today that might actually be a reasonable expectation. Some recent major titles have had very high spec requirements meaning only the latest powerful computers had a chance of running the game smoothly, but Rockstar seem to be making a decent effort to make sure as many people can play GTA V as possible. If you have a PC or laptop bought or built within the last year or two you'll most likely be fine, anything older will probably struggle. Specs have been included at the end of this post, but if you're not sure you'll be able to play it, feel free to ask in our forums for suggestions or recommendations. Details Will run at 1080p and 60fps with up to 4K resolution and support for up to triple monitor configurations, as well as NVidia 3D Vision for up to triple monitor setups. GTA Online for PC, which will support up to 30 players, will launch alongside GTAV for PC and will include GTA Online Heists. Includes the new Rockstar Editor, which gives players a full suite of editing tools to create and publish gameplay clips direct to both Social Club and YouTube. 4K Screenshots The first six screenshots of GTA V for the PC have been released in their full 4K resolution. Click the thumbnails to see them in all their glory, they're also on our new dedicated page for GTAV PC screenshots. Be warned if you have a slow connection they'll take a while to load, each screenshot is 5-10MB in size. You'll also need a Social Club account.

  3. With all the hype Sony has now built up it just seems like an enormous missed opportunity to rake in even more cash.

  4. In a somewhat surprising move from Rockstar today, a big update for the mobile version of Chinatown Wars was released on iOS. The app is now universal - previously Rockstar had separate iPhone and iPad versions - and new features have been added bringing it in line with the company's other mobile releases in the GTA III trilogy. These include support for MFi controllers, retina display, customisable controls, and the app is now optimised for the new iPhone 6 and 6+ devices. And for the first time ever, Chinatown Wars is now available for Android devices, including Google Nexus Player, Amazon Kindle tablets and Fire phones, and Fire TV. The app is priced at £2.99 ($ 5.99). Initial app ratings from users appear to be largely positive! Links to all versions are below. App download links: iOS Android Amazon

  6. After an entire year of waiting (and complaining), GTA V fans finally got what they've been wanting today when Rockstar revealed heists for GTA Online, due out in an update early in the New Year (for real this time). A short trailer gives us a glimpse of what 4 player co-op teams can expect in the game. For those of you who want to know more about heists, and reasons why you've been waiting for more than a year, head over to IGN for an in-depth interview with GTA Online producer and lead mission designer Imran Sarwar. TL;DR: Turns out programming heists is really really hard.

  11. OS X 10.10.1 update is useless. WiFi reliability not improved at all. What is going on at Apple? No choice but to return to Windows now.

  12. Online for the PC version is completely free, and yes it will definitely have support for using an Xbox 360 controller, possibly PS4 controller too. But any controller should be able to be configured to use with it.

  17. GTA V is just a week away for all PS4 and Xbox One owners!
  18. IGN have finished up their previews of new-gen GTAV for PS4 and Xbox One with an article about how GTA Online is changing. But first, in case you missed it yesterday, IGN showed a video comparing the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game. The accompanying article goes into detail about how great the "whole new experience" is, it's worth a read if you're looking forward to upgrading. Today's article however, focuses on the GTA Online portion of the game, with the main change being the increase to allow 30-player maps. They are madness. To top it all off, Rockstar have uploaded 79 brand new screenshots, all in 1080p, showing off the new-gen GTA V. There's far too many to include in this news update, so we'll just direct you over to our dedicated PS4 / Xbox One GTA V screenshots page where you'll find all of them, there's a small taster below. Many of you are waiting for the PC version, according to Rockstar screenshots of that will be "coming soon".
  19. I never had much desire to play GTA games in first person. But this trailer has changed my mind, it looks awesome! http://t.co/LzeLOZWguI

Remember back to leaked GTA IV videos? One showed a standoff below the bridge crossing the two mainlands first unlocked, the view of Niko's arm extending down his gun as you could zoom in somewhat

  20. Today we can bring you new details and trailer for the new-gen GTA V coming to PS4 and Xbox One in just two weeks. Both IGN and C&VG have published their hands-on previews of the updated game, and it sounds like all the improvements are worth it for those of you who are considering upgrading (and yes, the PC version will also include all these features, but you'll have to wait until early 2015 for that). First up, let's have a look at the new trailer. First-person mode has been a popular feature request in the series since the says of GTA III, but I have to admit I personally never felt much desire for it - at least until I watched this trailer. It looks stunning. If you want to read more about what else is new, check out both IGN and C&VG for their perspectives. Rockstar themselves picked out a choice quote from IGN, who by the way, will be publishing two more exclusive articles later in the week. Also, there's confirmation from Rockstar that the PC version will indeed run at 4K resolution, while the PS4 and Xbox One will both run in 1080p at 30FPS (hopefully stable). So those of you lucky enough to own awesome high-spec PC's and monitors will enjoy a truly stunning experience when playing the game.
  21. Happy 10th Birthday San Andreas! The San Andreas re-release we reported on the other day is out now on the Xbox Marketplace, featuring 720p resolution, increased draw distance, and achievements. The game costs £2.99 / $ 3.74 / €3,74. This remastered version is not compatible with the older Xbox Originals version, so if you own that one then unfortunately your save games won't transfer across. Look on the bright side though, you'll get to play through this great game again! Today marks the game's 10th anniversary since it was originally released on the PS2 back in 2004. Why not fire it up on whatever platform you may own a copy of the game on for some nostalgia? In related news, the iOS version of San Andreas was updated yesterday with native support added for the new iPhone 6 and 6+ screen sizes.
  22. As part of the celebration of San Andreas' 10th anniversary, Rockstar have removed the Xbox Originals version of the game from sale in the Xbox Marketplace, and will be re-releasing it as part of Xbox 360's Games on Demand service. This re-release will feature 720p resolution, enhanced draw distance and support for achievements. As of yet there is no word on pricing, but we'll update this as soon as we hear anything. Rockstar have confirmed a list of achievements that will be available on their support page. In addition to those mentioned there will also be 11 hidden achievements, if you want to know what those are you'll have to wait, as even XboxAchievements.com does not yet seem to know what they are. NOTE: Customers who had already bought the Xbox Originals version will still have access to that. But if they decide to upgrade to the re-release on Games on Demand, their save games will not be compatible. Meanwhile, Rockstar are offering 40% off on the mobile version of San Andreas, as well as Vice City and GTA III. If you don't already own any of them, check out the links below: San Andreas: $ 3.99 (save 43%) - iOS | Android | Amazon Vice City: $ 2.99 (save 40%) - iOS | Android | Amazon GTA III: $ 2.99 (save 40%) - iOS | Android | Amazon
  23. Xcode 6.1 has major issues. Apps won't rotate at all in iOS 8.1, localisations won't load in the simulator. Frustrating to say the least!

  24. This is ridiculous. Latest @GeoChallengeApp update took 48 days #iosreviewtime - the longest I've ever seen! http://t.co/4Z0pVLs0re
