  1. Well, I was using the downgrader to go from 1.01 to 1.00, so the downgrader must have messed something up.
  2. I'm not sure if this is in the right section or if you guys all ready know, but I thought it would be worth contributing this little piece of information. GTA SA seems to store your save games file in different directories between versions. In version 1.00, the storage directory is %GTA_DIR%/data. In version 1.01, the storage directory is %USR_DIR/GTA San Andreas User Files. If you upgrade or downgrade between either version, copy the file named GTASAsf[NUMBER].b, where NUMBER represents the numbered save slot your file was in. Hope this helps!
  3. Aww, thanks. Hey, what's it like to be the admin of a popular forum like this?
  4. Hi. I just found out that you can drive trains but I want to know if it's possible to use the switches on the tracks.
  5. Lol what quote? Things seem to be improving, I don't know why. Any other reasons the game could be doing this?
  6. Ok, a new update on the problem... I just now, when I started my game, all of the dates had disappeared, which is a good thing, since I hadn't actually gotton any yet. Also, after officer Hernandez called, I went into a place that was supposed to be locked, and I got a 4 level with the cops. Another good thing. Now the only problem is that the barriers aren't put up yet. I have another theory as to why this is happening. Right when these problems started ocuring, I tried the flying cars cheat. Do you think the game thought, after I was airborn, that I had completed flying school, thus put everything the way it should be if I had completed it? Please help me. ~tgp1994
  7. I've tried playing it, reinstalled, without any mods. I have no idea why it's doing it now. If it will help, I uninstalled the Andreas '08 mod then played the game for awhile, could that have messed things up? Do I have to update my game to 1.1?
  8. Hello again. I completed the game at one point, then decided to start again. I started a new game, but when I drove around, the areas that should have been blockade weren't. Even after the officer called me, they weren't. So what the heck is going on? I've completely uninstalled it, including deleting the save folder, reinstalled it, (it's at version 1.0), played it for a little, saved it, installed Andreas '08, but it still wasn't fixed. Even before installing the mod. What's going on!? ~tgp1994
  9. Lol I asked MSI support and they said my exact model motherboard locks overclocking. Shoot. I was thinking on getting a graphics cooler though, even though can't/don't want to over clock it, it's pretty loud and runs at 46 degrees idling. Is it worth the trouble getting a new fan for my GFX card?
  10. Ok, thanks. It's a real bummer the author doesn't want to continue the mod... does anyone know of any fairly large mods that don't regularly crash the game and include cars?
  11. Ok. So if I do find a conflicting thing, what do I do with it? Has anyone ever made an error checker or debugger yet?
  12. Ya, I can imagine it would be a large job. Would even downloading some cars and trying to mod them cause conflicts?
  13. Idling, my CPU ran at an average of 30 degrees centigrade, with the Min. temp 29 degrees and the max at 42 degrees. Running ORTHOS on Small FFTs - CPU stress, my CPU temp jumped up to 50 C, then gradually climbed up to about 58 degrees for 3 minutes of running ORTHOS. So stressing my CPU apparently makes the temperatures jump I'm gonna install this fan controller (from MSI, my motherboard mfg.) and see if it will keep the CPU cooler. EDIT: Srry, didn't realize you said 10 minutes. I'll install the program then retest.
  14. Lol I misinterpreted the question, I kind of thought he said ARE there any cheats for the XBOX.
  15. Now that I've looked at your specs, if you don't want to get a new PC, at least remove the memory, then put in two sticks of 512 MB memory. Then, what kind of graphics slot do u have? PCI - E? AGP 8X?
  16. My CPU temperature is running at about 33 degrees celcius, I think that's a pretty good temperature for it. The only problem is, I'm not sure how to increase the clock speed now.
  17. Uhm.. 4 gig here.. I think you need at least 3 GB if you want Vista running games smoothly. Mem running at 1066 MHz, not OC'ed(DDR2). CPU at 3,6 GHz (Wolfdale). You might want to OC yours a bit. Do you have a Conroe or what? Conroes and Wolfdales OC great, so if you have it, try it out. I don't have vista. You want me to overclock my processor or my memory? I'm a little confused about the whole overclocking process, particularly with the CPU. I have a boring old Dual Core processor. When you go to the BIOS, and it gives you a selection of 4 clock speeds, does choosing a higher clock speed mean over clocking? My fans are all ready pretty loud, so I don't think it would matter much if I pushed my CPU to 2.6 GHz.
  18. Lol accidentally made a new topic, but here are my specs: Processor: Intel 2.33 GHz Dual Core Motherboard: MSI with NVIDIA Chipset and 5.1 onboard sound Memory: 2BG (I skimmed through the first page, and it looks like no one has more than a gig of memory) Graphics: NVIDIA 8600 GT with 256 MB memory Hard drive: 250GB Segate SATA Well, i think that's it.
  19. I'm pretty sure it's the mod, but when I try to mod one of the cars in the '08 mod with something like exhausts, the game crashes. Does anyone know how to fix this, or if there are any better full game mods?
  20. Ouch, man! Don't worry about getting 512 MB. Wait, do you have a laptop or PC? I'd reccomend a 256 MB card, if you have a PC. Kind of funny, you have a really good processor, but a not so good video card.
