    I've done some worse things with shit like that in the past. Everyone eventually does something like that at some point...if you didn't see my original post...I didn't even know how to turn the fucking PS3 on at first.

    Windows built-in burner - FAIL

    I guess that's why I often install Nero even though Windows is bundled with a burner applet.

    Always worked fine for me.

    Harwood, file names? Can you make a new folder with all undercase filenames with no special characters and drag them in maybe? There could be hidden ini files or something.

    I guess I could try that. (I'll have to do that after work cause I'm about to leave)

    Try just copying the files, not the entire folder.

    I've tried that before and I get the same message. I thought that since they're "Read Only" that that might be causing it, but it doesn't allow me to change it to find out.

    My grandma from my mom's side died about two months ago from cancer, and a sophmore from my school commited suicide last Friday.

    Sorry for your loss. How long did your Grandma have cancer? Was her death sudden or was she told she had a certain amount of time to live? Just curious, you don't have to answer, obviously.

    I hate when these things happen, my 2 grandpas have passed, but the worst, was my best best friend, shes been my friend since grade 1 all the way to grd 10. we like hung out everyday. We went to the mall 1 day for like 5 hours ( thats what we do really ) and it was fun, that night she went over to her friends house to stay the night and go quading :(. I got a call at 2am in the morning saying britni was in a bad quading accident and i flipped, i got over to the hospital as soon as i could, she looked so bad, she was in a coma :( this is hard for me to write. I stayed at the hospital all night then when to school the next morning, i went home i couldnt do anything, that night i went to the hospital to talk to her :( here parents decided to pull the plug cause she would not come out of it. so after that i threw everything on the ground and fell down and started crying, I miss her so much

    That's horrible, it must be a very hard thing to deal with. Was this recent?

    Ok so I got MGS3 since you guys said I should and now when I start it up in my PS3 it gets to the main screen. I press Start. I press New Game... then it returns me to the start screen. In fact, whichever option I choose, it always returns me to the start screen. FUCK. So I googled and most places say it's fully backwards compatible which is good. Only found one other instance of someone having the same problem and that was way back when firmware 1.70 was the latest.... obviously years ago.

    Only thing I can think of is that I'm playing on a monitor rather than a TV, i.e., 1920x1200... so perhaps the 1080p isn't upscaling the height properly for PS2 games and it's throwing an error and sending me to the start screen again...fuck knows though. Anyone got any ideas? All my PS3 games are fine obviously. Haven't tried any other PS2 games but yeah.

    Someone help or everyone who's posted in here recently gets banned!! Well you won't but yeah I really want to play this game etc.

    EDIT: tried changing display down to 720p... still same problem... then down to standard PAL resolution of 576i... nope, same problem. So I've ruled out resolution. Fucking hell. Can't be arsed finding my PS2 and setting it up just for this. Why does no one else have problems with MGS3 :(

    If no one here knows what's going on then I'd suggest taking the game to a store and have them try it out to see if it's the disk or your console. If it's the disk then bitch up a storm with whoever sold it to you. If it's the console then take it to a store and have them try it.

    By the way, which PS3 do you have? 20GB, 40GB, 60GB or 80GB?

    Can I ask where can you download updates for the PS3?

    If you're PS3 is hooked up to the internet then it should prompt you to update. If you're not then you'd have to find the download on the official PlayStation 3 website.

    I'm attempting to copy some files to DVDs as backups and when I copy them the following message comes up.

    I've never successfully copied files to a DVD before so I might be doing it wrong. If you know what's happening or know how to do it properly, it would be much appreciated if you could help me out. :thumbsup:

    Yeah I already had a screen of it, not because it said "Gay" though, I just tend to screenshot/scan anytime I'm featured in a magazine or professional website.

    That's cool. Yeah, the only reason I took a print screen was because it said, "Gay". :hurrhurr:

    I'm wondering how many people here actually want it to stay. I'd have to say the majority of the people saying that they want it to stay are just going along with the crowd. At least that's what it seems.

    I was just searching through Rockstar's website and found a new site with a wallpaper download (shown above).

    The title is "Grand Theft Auto: Vice", but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be Vice City, although it's very possible.

    Your thoughts? ;)

    Yeah, I think I'm gonna use that sig after this one gets a little old. Maybe in a couple months or so.

    Practice makes perfect. Just try to experiment with every element that you can with which ever program you're using. I'm sure your signatures will turn out just fine. :yup:
