  1. Get a gxt editor and just change the name that is found in the english gxt file in the text folder.
  2. If you open the weapon.dat file, and you scroll down you should find the weapon you want Im sure it is just a matter of changing the numbers and testing. Damage is in column "I" I think and for acuracy it should be found on the bottom with the aiming offsets. Ive never done this personally but Im assuming thats where the adjustments should be found. Sorry for not having more knowledge on it but I hope it helps!
  3. Do you mean crashing as in, in game or during the load screens? If it is during the load screens then make sure you have v1 not v2. Im assuming that it is an in game crash so it probably just has to do with your choice of replacement. Try other cars and if the game doesnt crash then you know that your origional choice was unable to be replaced by that mod. SAMI should allow you to simply choose the replacement car after you select the dff and txd files. If it still doesnt work look at the read me that came with the mod and change the car names to the ones you want (be sure to have it in the right format that SA looks for or you will get a crash, just open the vehicles, handling, etc if you are not sure on the format). Finally if that doesnt work install it manually via img tool and manually puting the handling, vehicle, carmod, and carcol data into thier respective files. Hope this helps!
  4. Hey guys thanks for the responses, Ive been answering my own questions since yesterday after messin around with the files . I should have known about the car mods since that was pretty easy but Im still workin on the car colors. It turns out that that the colors that you find in transfender are not put in any particular order. What Im sayin is that the colors that apear arent the #0-64 colors. They are actually all over the place like one being # 112 and another being 45 right next to it . Im gonna mess around abit and find out which numbers actually are used in transfender. So in other words you cant change the numbers that transfender uses but you can change the colors assosiated with those choices. Ill post later on with an excel sheet that shows the color # : space for the transfender and other mod shop pallets . Thanks again for the posts!
  5. The game might run slow just because of the higher pixels found in some of the modds, esspecially if the car is a quality mod. If the game slows down drastically try changing the video settings. You can always change the mod to a rare car so there arent 15 of them on the screen at once. Hope this helps.
  6. Ok, Ive been serching for a bit but really havent found a clear answer just yet . My question is in regards to the mods under carmods.dat. I have multiple modded cars installed and when I mod some of them, like putting a hood vent or fogs on , the game sometimes freezes and shuts down. From what Ive seen and read, and please correct me if Im wrong, all I have to do is just remove the moddification in the carmods.dat for that specific car and the option shouldnt even appear on the transfender menu. The same should go for an addidtion of a mod if I just add it on the list, it should appear on the in game menu. Finally, and I have no clue how to do this one but how do you change the avalible car colors found in the transfender color pallet? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  7. Hey everyone! I got a question about car mod destinations. I downloaded the BMW M5 and the car it is to replace is the Sultan. The thing is, is that I got an EVO VIII already replacing the sultan. My question is can I just rename the dff and txd files as well as the handling and vehicles text lines to another car such as the elegant? If not what do I need to change?
