  1. Who was Wade in GTA SA?

I'm wondering this as well, because I don't recall anyone named Wade being in GTA: SA. Maybe he's being confused with Dwaine of Jethro and Dwaine fame? Pronunciation of their names is somewhat similar.

As far as Johnny K goes, I was certainly surprised by his demise. I didn't really like him at first, but having played TLAD through several times, he grew on me. I was fearing for Luis going through the rest of the game... :rofl2:

  2. I didn't realize the compound of survivalist cults might welcome Trevor as one of their own

It's more of a "business" partnership between Trevor and the Altruists: he brings them people to eat and they pay him ($1,000 a head). Though this partnership doesn't last very long.

  3. I definitely love Trevor more now after completing the game. He might be my favorite character in the entire series actually. Mission Spoilers: That moment when Trevor is returning Patricia and Chicago is playing on the radio, is one of my favorite moments in the game. All the voice actors in the game were incredible really, the lines he says are really funny too, "The cheek, the fucking cheek of it" talking about his smashed statue. So yeah, going into it I new he was going to be that character that stands out; hes a psychopath and incredibly fun to play as.

He can actually be quite poetic at times. :rofl2:

Oh yeah I know what you mean, its amazing how after I had beaten the game, there were still a few big hidden regions on the map (mostly the mountains). Then I realized I hadn't even seen a shark or mountain lion yet, there is so much to do in the world.

What I'm surprised to not find are bears. The west coast has a large Brown Bear population, so the lack of them is really noticeable. The Bigfoot calls that you can hear late at night are a nice touch, though.

Honestly, the amount of wildlife is lacking compared to RDR. No bears, no rabbits, no deer, no wolves, no foxes, no wild goats. Sharks excepted, all I've seen so far are mountain lions, wild boar, elk, and coyotes.

  4. Do yourself a favor and ignore the guy who posted above me, since most of his posts are nonsensical and have little, if anything at all, to do with whatever topic he's posting in.

Anyway, heists and buying businesses are your biggest money makers, since you don't get paid for most missions.

  5. There's a sunken UFO somewhere north of the Sonar Collections Dock in Paleto Cove, though I don't recall how far exactly. If this is the kind of thing you mean by "anything hidden".

  6. Congrats are in order, and I hope it's not another 5 years between games, at the most, I hope for that time frame to be cut down considerably! haha

If that time is spent creating a game as amazing as GTA V, I'm perfectly happy waiting another five years for GTA 6. And I really doubt I'm going to be the only person on this website to feel that way.

  7. The damage doesn't have too much aesthetically, but bust you car up a good couple times and tell me the engine still runs fine.... I CANNOT make it up the mountain before losing my engine power....

Not to mention wheels getting jammed up and such to the point where you can't control the vehicle without great difficulty.

  8. Everyone acts as if Rockstar isn't going to release a PC version because it didn't come out at the same time as the console versions. Neither did GTA IV. Neither did San Andreas. Are you guys just not use to this yet?

I'm sure many said the same thing in the wake of Red Dead Redemption's release. GTA V could very well follow in similar footsteps. I'd like to emphasize I said could, not that it definitely will. But it could. I hope it doesn't and I hope PC gamers get to mod the hell out of the game. I really do. But it could end up a console exclusive. And just for the record, I'm of the opinion that platform/console exclusivity is a dated concept that needs to be done away with entirely.

Besides, what's the difference between worrying that it will never see a PC release and convincing oneself it will see a PC release when Rockstar haven't stated anything whatsoever to indicate that it will happen?

  9. I've waited so long for this game, yet it almost feels like just yesterday that I sat in front of my computer watching the timer on Rockstar's website count down to the release of GTA V's announce trailer.

  10. I'm a little bit skeptical myself. The cell phone cheat system worked fine in GTA IV, so I don't see why Rockstar would abandon it and go back to the pre-GTA IV system.

But with that said, I still play the GTA III Era games regularly and have no problem working with their cheat system.

  11. I found a gif on Kotaku that apparently illustrates that the "roads" we're seeing on this map are eight-lane super highways.

    ku-medium.gif

If this is accurate, then this map is frakking ginormous.

CNet also has this (too big to post as IMG).

Someone superimposed the GTA: San Andreas map over the GTA V map. Not really sure how accurately-scaled they are, but it would seem to illustrate a similar scale as the gif above, though.
