  1. Here's the way I see it. Any issues that MTA has don't really bother me all that much. I'm willing to deal with a couple of crashes from time to time (although honesty, I've never been timed out, and I've only been crashed out a few times) to play with the features implemented within MTA:SA.

Besides, we are using MTA and that's not going to change. A lot of work has gone into getting the current server online and the MTA server has gained a lot of popularity. The negatives don't outweigh the positives to switch to SAMP as far as I can see.

From what I have seen and heard, most reliability issues stem from a bad connection or serious lag issues (and the occasional train). So hmm.

  2. This is ridiculous Dom. I'm happy if the server remains where it is, but for the service providers to tell you that they will move it within 48 hours and then take no action and leave you in the dark about what's actually happening is just slack. Bloody hell it's hard to find a decent service out there these days!

    *vent*

  3. As a previous moderator at GTAForums, I can give a pretty honest opinion here. A lot of the bannings at GTAForums were somewhat unjust, but never entirely unprovoked. Some staff members were part of tightly knit "cliques" and were easily swayed to ban members (who'd done very little wrong) by members of that clique... and on the other hand, some members that had an abundance of warnings were left free to roam the forums. There was a shitload of favoritism going on... but that was a while back. I'm sure things have changed since then... at least I would have hoped so.

  4. Good job, but I'm afraid you're a little late. LithJoe created a really fantastic trainer application for GTA3 in 2001. It progressed up to version 3.5 which was fantastic. It is probably the best trainer I've ever used to date.

I'll post more info and a download if you're interested?

  5. No kidding. I would have thought IGN would have tried harder. I read the comments below and one person raised a very good point - something along these lines...

"Rockstar are focusing more on downloadable content throughout this generation of GTA, so why would they even bother with this?"

Though IGN may have put some effort into publishing the actual booklet, they really didn't put much thought into the original concept.
