i know that driv3r is a mistake, but R*would think of something so that the controls wouldn't be so annoying, besides what makes GTA famous? it's the features has never been done before, that's what the game business meant for, creating something new, and thank god for that, we have millions of game varieties, different gameplay and concepts. if we didn't have it we may still be playing mario trying to save the princess. realize something: you could still hold your gameboy playing pacman untill you're dead, or you can sit down w/ your son playing GTA 6 in PS5! game business is dog eats dog, take all the risk you can, and after that the choice is in the hands of God, or fans.
Dude this is not new. Manual gears have been here since the 1st racing games...
i know, but this kind of thing has never done before in an action adventure free roam game, like GTA, or have you ever seen a free roam games w/ manual driving?
@niko bellend: personally,i don't think this'll be a mistake. all i'm saying is, maybe, just maybe if we have the manual feature, the street racing in GTA IV will have drag racing, the AI in people would be more advanced, and so we have more challenges than previous GTA's, who knows, maybe you'll like it if it's really will be in the game.

Not if you have friends junkies...They let me some for free in case I'm in the mood. But haven't done it since the middle of July.
actually i have one, but i'm afraid he's been dropped out of my school, now he go to a different school and now i only see him like twice every 6 months, goddamn the system
it's okay though, i'm trying to quit anyway, besides in my country the cops sometimes dressed like dealers to catch a junkie, so i think it's pretty tough to get one here

?and remember, in real life, the theory is to stay on the second gear(you can also step on it without worrying about blown engine) if you wanna do something else while driving, and i'm sure you're never drive a car if you don't know that simple theory.

Stop right there. This is not real life. This is a game that supposed to be fun. And what's fun in the game is shooting people chasing you and driving at 80 MPH, driving over peds.
If we tried every stupid idea that came to our mind IRL, we'd be dead. As for game developing, it only takes one crappy feature to bring a game down to the quality of Driv3r. (i.e. NOT GOOD)

I mostly agree with you on that one.
Driving would get a little complicated in a game if it were like real life to me.
so what? are you guys only see the negative side? manual drivings can be fun, it might be annoying at first because we couldn't know which car is automatic, but we'll learn, we always learn. don't you guys remember SA? where there's a bicycle and new planes that we have to get used to
??? besides, it's not that hard remembering which car is auto and manual -
I tried weed once, half my face went numb & I puked. People PAY for this? I'll stick to alcohol.
I only tried weed once too, but the only thing that happened was that I was unsteady on my feet and tripped three times. Never tried it again because I never saw any point in trying it the first time.
I also sniff markers a lot, but that's only to goof around. I'm not actually trying to get high, I just wanna make someone laugh, cringe, or pissed off.
i laugh i feel weird and laughed at a pineapple when i tried weed for the first time

yeah, i think you're right, and i know R* is going to do some parodies on saints row 1/2, i bet my college money on it, GTA always does parody to their clone
i don't think saints row 1 is bad, but i know GTA is much better
Volition is going to do much more to steal GTA fans

i gotta admit, the graphic is nice, even though GTA IV graphic is much better, but still i think this game has potential than any GTA clone
i think Saints Row 2 is gonna be a big threat to GTA IV release, despite the fact that their release time are gonna be pretty much the same(Q2 2008)

-Driv3r(the worst mistake of Atari)
-tactic RPGs on PS2(they have really bad graphics, all of them!)

i think all you have to do if you hopped into a manual is just drive steady, not like those NFS drag racing mode, i had to restart many times for one drag racing
automatic is the best, but it's GTA, so what's wrong if we try something new?

Strenghs: Smoking, Drinking( I'm Australian, what do you expect.)Partying, Rapping and Music producing.

Strengths: creativity, mainly about making movie stories(had a job about filming actually) and a master of bad habbit(example: making an O with ciggarete smoke, and can consume alcohol like drinking mineral water

The Tony Hawks games are become to free roam style, they need to go back to the old skewl THPS1 and THPS2 they were the greatest
they must've figured that the old one was getting old, and changed it, but you're right, THPS 1 & 2 were the best of all
i think the free roam's not bad, only they make it boring and pushed it too far
and you're right Donkey Porker, 100x combos is just a bad addition from the developer and extremely unrealistic!

Actually, skate does have manuals. It just doesn't have flatland tricks and liptricks. But that's a small price to pay. Besides, I'm getting sick of all that unfunny and cartoony shit the Tony Hawk series is infamous for.

maybe he meant the Tony Hawk's American Wasteland which is very comical, childish and overdone vandalism(get on with the true vandalism!!!! real skaters tricked people, vandalize, and egg people's house for a living!) and trying to be cool, and if you ask me, tony hawk series does have a boring story(i only liked THUG 1 for the story)
i don't know the SKATE story though, i hope it's a good one.

did you mean manuals? they got them, i've seen the preview on ea sports: game in star sports, SKATE will take over the skateboarding games and i think activision isn't going to like it
and i think rodney mullen and other pro skaters are thinking about which way they're gonna go
and the sponsors who used to be in TH's, has turned to skate right? and the sponsors who never support TH's, got into skate, so i think a lot of people would choose skate rather than TH's, i too must admit that skate is the most realistic looking skateboarding game yet
will activision suffer like Atari's Driver? whose idea is stolen and improved to be a lot better? i think we should see this new war huh

i'm a right hand man (beyond 50000, but i forgot how much, i think it's around 51000
), i play this save game without a cheat at all, fast played missions and a lot of successful mayhemand that was my 8th save game, the first one was total liar(around -8000)

Woooo, I broke 2 fingers from my left hand. I was playing some basketball when this happened. Can't move the mouse to good. It hurts very much.

maybe you could try another warriors disc, don't have to buy it, but borrow one from your friends.
that way you could see if it's the disc or your PS2
if none of them has the warriors, just go test your disc on their PS2
