  1. v3.0 is very similar, if not identical, to v2.0

So, maybe a v2.0 downgrader might work, but I can't confirm that.

There are people who are currently trying to confirm all of this, if I get that confirmation, and then I'll update this post to reflect that.

  2. Maybe zmoonchild has some saves,I see him looking at the topic...

    Sure, I could post some v1.0 saved-games, but I don't think they'll work for a downgraded v2.0

    I did purchase v2.0, but I never installed it, I prefer v1.0

I'll check to see if I can find a link to convert v1.0 to v2.0, and update this post if I do; that's probably the best route to go.

    Here, try this:

Way For V2 Users To Do V1

    It converts v1.0 to v2.0

    It was created by Ryan92.

It may work for you, let me know.

  3. THANK YOU!!!!!!! only got this game a year ago...

    Glad to help. :)

...I've been able to do all the way up to that point several times, maybe I should get a gamepad or something? Yes, I use the keyboard to play.

I prefer a keyboard and a mouse; in fact, I recently had to replace both of them because some of the buttons had stopped working or had just gotten too loose.

I’ve been playing games on computer (PC) since the earlier 80’s, other than that, the only console I’ve ever enjoyed was my Atari 2600 when I was a child.

My old Atari 800 Computer had joystick capability, but it also had a standard keyboard; aside from that, all computer games for me have been with a keyboard and mouse.

  4. ok so here is the deal, got to and bought verdant medows, did first few flying missions, not all gold but I'm not worried about that. For some reason I just can not do the "blow up stuff" part, no matter how hard I try I can not do it in less than 2minutes, 2:45 was the best time I got, and thats way to slow. if you get me a gold I'll be happy but all I need/reguest/beg of you is that mission, I can do the loop and barol roll missions by myself (I hope). so if it is possible could you please just do the "blow stuff up" part of the flying lessons? thank you in advance. BTW link below for saved game. I know zeros last mission isn't done yet but thats just beceause I have so much fun on that mission I don't save it, i'll do it after I get the flying lessons done.

one last thing, if you could make 2 saves, one with all flying lessons done and one with just the "blow stuff up" done I'd like that to, but if I'm asking to much, just the one.

    "First post" YAY

Sure thing, I'll do it this afternoon when I'm near my computer.

I'm assuming that you're referring to test called Destroy Targets, when said "blow stuff up"

    Destroy Targets only, test passed:

    NO CHEATS were used.

    Enjoy.

  5. The trick to doing N.O.E. is to head out over the ocean and fly around the outskirts of San Andreas while staying low over the ocean. That way you don't have to deal with the terrain, except for the areas near the Abandoned Airfield and near Angel Pine where you make the drop.

After a while though, flying becomes second nature, and it's pretty easy to take the direct route over the hills, through the valleys, and around the buildings.

  6. You know that's not true, that myth has been disproven.

Well, obviously I don't know that. Can you direct me to a source?

Not a big fan of cheats either, although I'll play around w/ them for fun (nothing I'll save). I do know SA savefile editors

have a "Cheats Used" setting that can be cleared, the early one I used (got tired of re-accumulating weapons after "Green

Saber" & "Da-nang Thing") to open the entire map had it. I think the README mentioned the cheat issue.

I have been looking for the links, but I haven't been able to locate them.

I can tell you, however, that it was pdescobar and OrionSR that verified that it is possible to achieve 100% Game Progress with Cheats; I have learned a lot from those two, they really know their stuff: they've gone through the coding over and over.

I'll keep searching for those links.

And, yeah, I guess you didn't "know" ;)

  7. also a heads up, cheats also keep you from getting 100% complete.

You know that's not true, that myth has been disproven.

You can achieve 100% Game Progress even if you use cheats.

The only cheat that will possibly keep you from completing the story missions is the ‘pedestrian riots’ cheat, because you can’t complete the ‘Madd Dogg’ or ‘Burning Desire’ missions.

I never use cheats, nor do I advocate anyone else using them.

My advise is to never use cheats; I never have and I never will.

  8. Because it's not, I can't prove I did it, but when I get home I can show you what I mean. It's definitely not bulletproof. It can't be.

Well, maybe it was fluke or something, but it is bulletproof; just check to coding. I'm making that up. :)

I'm guessing you meant not making that up? :P

Yes, thank you. I meant to say "not" making that up. ;)

Just a little slip of the keyboard, and my mind.

  9. Actually I blew up his bike once, he was on the top of a bridge that I was going onto, I just shot all the way up and owned him.

That's odd, considering that Freddy and his PCJ-600 are both BP/EP/DP/FP throughout the entire chase. Neither one loses those special qualities until after the chase is over, and C.J. is facing Freddy off at the Basketball court.

How did you blow up his bike if it's Explosion proof and Bulletproof?

    I'm just curious. :)

  10. I got stuck on this mission. When you're driving out of the airport with Toreno and T-Bone. There comes up a red cricle like it's you're goal. And i drive into it. Nothing happens. So i drive away from it. But the goal on the mini map is still there. What am i supposed to do?

Nvm this. It seems to be a glitch or something. When i got out of the car i got a new goal on my mini map. To get back to the pleasure domes. Something fucked up but oh well.

That's not a glitch, that's the way it's supposed to work. The initial goal leads you out of the airport, and then it disappears when you reach the airport entrance and a new goal appears, just like you said

  11. I downloaded the installer and it's 3.95 GB zipped, so it will probably end up to be 4.7 GB.

I was wondering if you could upload a saved-game, so that I could test it out and see if it works with v1 and v2 games.

Just a test save, it doesn’t matter what’s on it. I want to see if I can create some sort of conversion on it so that v1 or v2 players can use v3 games, or vice versa.

I’m not sure if GTA Save-N-Play will work for v3, but you could upload on this post as a .zip file.

    Thanks. :)

  12. How long (real time) did it take to reach level 1773? Was starvation an issue?

JCMillerTime said it took him 3 days, with lots of breaks in between; it took several hours, not sure how many though. He left the game in pause overnight whenever he slept.

As far as starvation goes, venders are the best choice; I used them as I got to level 366.

The Hunter doesn't disappear, as it sometimes does when entering a fast-food place. There's usually so much time that it's very easy to pick up a few bribes to clear your Wanted Level before landing near the vender.

  13. I asked my friend Dave (who does by pdescobar), and here's what he had to say about it:

When you take the jetpack off, you might notice it doesn't immediately disappear -- instead it becomes a special one-time-only pickup that expires after a certain amount of time kinda like dropped money and guns. If you save while one of these dropped jetpacks is still around, it stays in the save and doesn't go away until very shortly after you reload. By dropping the jetpack in the exact position you reappear on save (or the exact position you appear when leaving a savehouse), CJ is able to equip it before the part of the game that recycles old pickups has a chance to remove it.
