Over sized wheels

Recommended Posts

On two cars I've downloaded and installed correctly like any other I get super sized wheels and tires. It's not like that in the screenshots and in the readme for both cars it says that the vehicles.ide line is for making the wheels the right size????

The cars are Ford Crown Victoria Taxi and Toyota Camry '97 (I'm trying to replace every car in the game and not only with super duper mega cars)

Included is a screenshot of what I mean.

I played around w/ this stuff a lot in GTAVC, but SA should be close.

This should be an easy fix, start the game & put the car you want to edit in a garage. Save game & Quit.

BACK UP EVERY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT!!!

You need to look at the file Vehichles.IDE in your data folder and open it.

Find the name of the car you replaced (the original car, not the new one).

Go to the end of that line & look for the 2 next to last numbers.

For example, Landstalker is 0.768, 0.768 -these are the wheel size parameter (I think Front & Back).

For smaller wheels enter a lower number (for example 0.600, 0.600.)

Save changes & Close file. Start game & go to your Garage to see if the car looks right to you.

This should point you in the right direction.

Good Luck

Thanks for the response Urbanoutlaw, but I already tried that. The wheels did change, the weren't as wide anymore and instead of the radius getting smaller it was the same but the car wheel shrunk into the ground.

Do you, or anybody else, know what might be cousing it?

Included is a picture of this with both settings set as low as 0.25 (same as on DODO)
