Dig1taL Posted March 17, 2008 Share Posted March 17, 2008 Tundra mod This is the readme TUNDRA MODby icetuner [email protected] FEATURES: This mod will make Angel Pine, mount Chiliad and part of the forest to look like a tundra. It replaces ground textures with snow ones. It modifies the radar textures. The LOD files are modified in order to be able to see snow even far from the modified area. INSTALLATION: The files in the RADAR folder will modify the radar, the other textures will modify the forest, the mount and the village. You will need the img tool. Open the file gta3.img which is located in the models folder in the GTA SA directory. Backup and delete or rename the following files: cs_coast.txd cs_forest.txd cs_lod.txd cs_mountain.txd cs_mountaintop.txd cs_roads.txd cs_scrapyard.txd cs_scrapyardarea.txd cs_town radar84.txd radar85.txd radar96.txd radar97.txd radar98.txd radar108. txd radar109. txd radar110. txd radar111. txd radar120. txd radar121. txd radar122. txd radar123. txd radar132. txd radar133. txd radar134. txd radar135. txd Finally add all files from the radar folder and world folder and rebuild the archive. TIPS: This mod is looks much better with some weather cheat codes like: CFVFGMJ: foggy weather ALNSFMZO: cloudy weather AFZLLQLL: sunny weather MIDNIGHTPROWLER: always midnight GHOSTTOWN: reduced traffic BUGS: I didn’t notice any bugs and the mod shouldn’t affect the game’s stability if installed properly, that’s because it’s just a texture mod. I dont understand the readme very much :S it tells me what to do but it doesnt really tell me how to do it, for example "You will need the img tool. Open the file gta3.img which is located in the models folder in the GTA SA directory" Ok, so I'm in the models folder... when I click on gta3.img it asks what program would I like to open it with... how should I know? it doesnt say in readme. Then after, it doesnt say what you do with the gta3.img file after... so lets say I did open it (tho I didnt) what do I do with it? Set it as my desktop background? "Backup and delete or rename the following files:cs_coast.txd cs_forest.txd cs_lod.txd cs_mountain.txd cs_mountaintop.txd etc etc etc..." (this may seem dumb to the people that know but...) where are they? (Up my arse? ) Please help me I'm really lost with this mod! (also does this work with SA:MP?)
