is there anyway to replace the ak47 with a weapon mod designed for the m4?

Hey there...ive been downloading mods for a few days now, but i havent really found any good ak47 replacements...can i replace the ak with a mod for the m4??

Yes you can.

You use IMG tool, open the gta3 file i the SA folder, replace the mod files with the ak47 (remember to rename it to the same name that the file you replacing has) and that should be it. Just tell me if you need more help with it.

so i can use IMG tool to replace the ak with an m4 mod?? the same way i would do it if i were replacing any other weapon?

You can replace any weapon. It just replaces the skin so it looks like a different gun. You can also edit the weapons.ide using wordpad or notepad to change the firing rate and range etc. But it is kinda complicated with all of those numbers.

Oh ya there is a program that will make it easier to edit the weapons. It's called Ammunation Tool.
