Location of save game

Hey guys,

I'm needing to find the location of my saved gta. I need to put it on my usb and recover my computer so I can just pop the save file back in and continue playing.

Questions:

* Where can I find my saved game file?

* Can I put it on a usb for when I reinstall my computer and put it back in.

* Where would I put it, when everything is done?

I appreciate you taking your time to read this.

I'm using Windows Vista.

Edit to add: I'm in the user files and I see the following files: gta_sa.set (3kb) GTASAsf1.b (198kb) and reply.rep (782kb) -- are these the save files, if so, why is the file size soo small? I'm on level .. unsure, but the title is Body Harvest.

I'll answer your questions

The savegames are the ones with .b format. They're tiny because they only store status data, weapons, etc, only tiny pieces of codificated code. You can put it on an usb, install SA in another computer (then start it for the first time, exit) and put the .b file on the Documents > GTA San Andreas User Files. There you go. If you want to copy your graphics settings you can also save the .set file in an USB and then replace the existing one in another computer when you do what I said above.

However I noticed that when you copy the savefile into San Andreas on Vista (from a XP machine), or even download one from here and put it into that folder, it doesnt find it at all...at least, I had this issue on two seperate computers running Vista.
