PseudoFinrod Posted May 16, 2010 Share Posted May 16, 2010 I got the Steam version of San Andreas when I bought the Rockstar Complete pack on sale a few weeks back. Since then, I have been trying unsuccessfully to figure out how to mod it. I have read some things that indicate that it is difficult or impossible to mod the Steam version. Is this the case? Huckleberry Pie Posted May 16, 2010 Share Posted May 16, 2010 It isn't impossible to mod the Steam version as some people try to insist. The problem is that the GTASA binary is different from the other EXEs, which probably explains the lack of a downgrader. However, you can make it moddable by using a No-CD crack as suggested here in the Multi Theft Auto wiki and in their message board. I won't give you any links to the crack, though, for legal reasons, although it is obvious that you already bought it from Steam and you won't be using it illegally.
