Cruising
Hello! i got an idea about duplicate vehicles in san andreas. So i have a question, can you take copy of the rustler file and rename it to the stunt plane and keep the vehicle id and it will be a fully working rustler plane when you replace the stunt plane? The reason why i ask is that i want to be able to use like 4 different skins for the rustler and not same on all. And if possible, i want to know how and what i need for stuffs to make it so, i have never mod any files except replace dff and txt files. Edit: just saw i didnt post this in SA modding forums, please move it //cruising Edited May 31, 2011 by Cruising
TUN3R
I think you can simply make paintjobs, you can't apply them in game but you can use a garage editor for it... If not, yeah you can do what you said, just remember that you have to use all of the names and ID's of the plane you want to replace, example for Stunt Plane handling: Replaced plane: STUNT 5000.0 20000.0 14.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 75 0.65 0.9 0.5 1 200.0 16.0 5.0 4 P 1.5 0.45 0 45.0 2.0 0.15 0.0 0.50 -0.10 0.9 0.0 0.30 0.75 45000 4008100 400020 0 1 14 Plane to replace with: RUSTLER 5000.0 27083.3 10.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 75 0.65 0.9 0.5 1 200.0 16.0 5.0 4 P 1.5 0.45 0 45.0 2.0 0.15 0.0 0.50 -0.20 0.5 0.0 0.30 0.75 45000 4008108 400020 0 1 14 Final handling dat: STUNT 5000.0 27083.3 10.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 75 0.65 0.9 0.5 1 200.0 16.0 5.0 4 P 1.5 0.45 0 45.0 2.0 0.15 0.0 0.50 -0.20 0.5 0.0 0.30 0.75 45000 4008108 400020 0 1 14 Have fun. EDIT: Ops sorry, didn't notice that you didn't mod before, here's the 411: >open handling.cfg with notepad -type CTRL + F and search for the RUSTLER -select and copy all the numbers after ''RUSTLER'' -type CTRL + F and search for the plane you want to replace, just remember to use key words cause the names aren't typed in full, for Stunt Plane search for ''STUNT'' -paste the copied number line after ''STUNT'' replacing the old ones, remember to have space between ''STUNT'' and numbers with the TAB key >save handling.cfg and close it >open vehicles.ide with notepad -type CTRL + F and search for 476 -select and copy everything after ''rustler, ignore,'' -type CTRL + F and search for 513 -paste and replace everything after ''ruslter, ignore,'' (don't ask me why all the planes have ''rustler, ignore,'' in their line, I don't know) >save vehicles.ide and close it Done! Repeat this for every plane you want to replace and have fun. Edited May 31, 2011 by TUN3R

Thanks! But one question, is all i need to do replace the handling? nothing else? i mean in "vehicles.ide" or something, so the stunt plane really looks and can fire like the rustler? Edit: just saw you had edit, thanks, i will try that! Edit2: i have done all you said, but it doesnt work, in GGMM the stunt is gone, and when i create one in game, it just white and still a stunt plane. TUN3R
Sounds like model screw up, replace the original stunt.dff and stunt.txd in gta3.img.
