Importing car models to GTA?

I wanted to make the Halo 4 warthog for GTA, and i already found a model for it. I have a .3ds and a .obj versioin of it, and I have no idea where to go from here. Can anyone let me know of any tutorials or suggestions to bring it along? (or if someone wants to actually make a good one, do it? haha)

It's for SA but you'll get the hang of it once you learned how to port things to the game. I tried it myself with a few vehicles I converted or created, and it was 'swell.
