Jack The Stripper
this is my first post so i hope you like it. I am writing because I think an online gta would be great. When you start off, you are a random guy. You pick colour of skin, race, and style of talking. When you start the game for real, you get some some starting cash but then you have to make your own way. You should have to pick what you wanna be in the game - you can go to cop station and talk to a guy at the desk for example, and thats when your training begins. You are then put through obstacle courses and shooting ranges to give a small boost to physical fitness and shooting skill. When first part of training is done, you are then put on beat patrol, solving petty crimes. The more your cop level increases, different types of cop style weaponry becomes available, like assault rifles. Also, you can choose to become higher ranked in the police force. So you can become SWAT, FBI and so on. This would make it harder to get away with crimes than on the games, because the cops will have more skill, so you would have to plan out robberies and shootings. You could also be a dirty cop, stealing evidence like drugs and guns to sell on streets. Other cops could become suspicious and you would be thrown in jail. Also, if you were thrown in jail, depending on the seriousness of the crime, your time in prison could range from like 30 minutes to 10 hours for example. Then inside, you could choose to do your time lifting weights and playing basketball, or you could spark of a riot to give you a chance to escape, or steal items to dig tunnels, like gardening tools from work which are then are filled in if or when you escape. Then you would also have to choose wisely who you tell, or they might snitch for a bribe. If you choose to take the life of a gangster, you start by getting yourself noticed in the streets, like robbing stuff and shooting people. When your rep bar increases enough, and your gangster level (similar to cop level) gets high enough, you can join gangs or create your own. This would then be like having a guild (like on online RPGs). You would have to raise money to get your gang kitted out with weapons, and buy a gang car which would be selected when making your gang. Some cars would be more expensive to buy, so you have to pick wisely which car you pick first. You would have to pick your gang name and colours too. Also, there should be different trades that you could learn on the streets, such as car tune ups, gun tune ups, backyard gambling, allsorts. There would be many different skills to learn, and as these get higher in level it could result in you buying houses for casinos or buying land so you could start from scratch - this would mean the map would have to be huge. Also, when your guild first starts off, they are given certain places to start from, and you get to choose from available places. Just so a massive gang does not come and take it over straight away, you should gather alot of people who want join before you actually create it. Also, because the gang wars are not AI like in the games, they will not be easy. Before you can take over territory you have to beat the enemy gang members there more than once. Whilst not shooting criminals or killing cops, you can spare the time to go down to the local pub and get drunk, sell weed or any other things that make you feel good there. You can start a big bar fight, but beware there might be someone who just wants to have a drink who has muscles the size of pamela andersons tits who will beat you up and break some bones. That's where the many people who choose to become doctors or nurses come into play. When their doctor level gets higher they can mend everything from broken bones to gun shot wounds (if they make it in time). You cannot forget the NPCs - you can't go around robbing and killing fellow players all the time (well you could, but lets not). There will be npc police and ambulance men (and women). Some will come to heal you, but then you need to pay medical bills. Your boss gives you missions to do like quests on online rpgs whereby you have to heal, kill or arrest, and other things like drug smuggling. Also, your gang leader would give you missions that he needs doing. I hope you like these ideas. If you think they're good, please reply. --post by Jack, Grammar by Gerard.--

Slayer
Oh, grammar does matter a lot. I don't have time for decoding your sentances. So now I won't read yor post. If you'd written it so that I can read it within 2 minutes, I'd read it right away. Grammar does matter a lot. Whenever I see a noobish post like that, I lost my will to read it. Gerard
It would also help if this was posted in the GTA4 forum, rather than in the Lounge. And yes grammar does matter. All i can see in your post is a massive block of letters, and it would take me ages to go through it all. I'd probably get lost too. Tell you what, i'll do you a favour. I'll move this topic AND tidy your post up. How's that for generosity.

You are then put through obstacle courses and shooting ranges to give a small boost to physical fitness and shooting skill. That is kinda standard in every GTA. Just you don't have obstacle courses, you get a few easy missions. That's a good idea to have cop and gangsta professions. It gets boring to play against a very poor AI. Today I was at my friends house and we were playing SA and each one's tried to make a bigger mess. It was just way too easy. I've just grabbed a SMG and started to kill cops that were all over me. So the funny (an sad at the same time) thing is that I could easily kill 20 FBI agents that have surrounded me with a single SMG! Then I've stole a tank... Dude, nobody would want to be a medic. It seems soooooo gay to be doctor and help people when you can be an uber-mega-ultra criminal who can destroy the whole enemy gang just like that. That's what I'd really like to see. Since we have gangs and stores on this forum, it would be great if maybe we could have gangs in GTA online. btw.
