Xenlove Posted June 19, 2006 Share Posted June 19, 2006 Since its pretty widely known at this point that GTA IV will more than likely take place in Great Britain, I'd like for you all to consider my idea for the fifth installment which would carry on the Europe theme. Preferably, and as I've been touting all over the internet, a GTA should take place in the Italy/Balkans/Russia area, parts of Europe HEAVILY immersed in organized crime (Russia and the Balkans espcially). The story would be that of an American backpacker who's total and complete loser back home but suddenly finds himself strangely and strongly attracted to a young local poor girl who gets taken for a sex slave to be sold on the international brothel market (again, this shit is huge over in those parts) to the point of working for the organized crime elements responsible for her capture in order to buy her back. When he finds that he's just being used (clearly) with no risk of saving this woman he starts upon a course of revenge which quickly envelopes both international politics and organized crime (not to be repetitive, but organized crime and politics in these areas are deeply interwoven) that would ultimately involve the CIA (who are also particularly involved in these areas). Thoughts, comments? For some reason, I'd be interested if anyone wanted to hit me up for working on a mod which could deal with this Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, it is not widely known that GTAIV will be set in Great Britain. Infact i highly doubt it will be. You have good ideas, but aren't you looking maybe a little bit too far ahead... Argueably theres a risk that another gta in the USA would disrupt players everywhere else, but no where near as much as doing the same games on PSP like LCS and VCS which they went on to do anyway. Anyways, I like the story, reminscient of Taxi Driver, it's actually similar to the plot of what my mod Trinity originally set out to do about just a random person being used by the Mafia and left to die, coming back rising through the criminal chain to eventually kill the Mafia bosses responsible.
