GTA:SA Wont Open

I try opening the game and like the mouse goes like the sand thing and 5 seconds later it dissapers i check my ctrl alt delete and nothing was there the cd is in the driver and the game is patched and idk what else to do? Anyone know what to do?

I know its a hassle, but reinstall it.That usually fixes it for me

First before you do that try to delete the GTA user setttings file (gta_sa.set) in the my documents folder sometimes it gets corrupted and will cause the symptoms you are referring to..If that does not work ask your self these questions and post back the answers so that we might be able to help you more.

1.Were you ever able to play the game?

2.What version GTA SA are you using? you can tell in the bottom right corner of your screen on start up

(i know you said patched but check to be sure)

3.IF you were able to play b4 when did your problems start ie: after you installed a mod, downgraded etc.

Yeah that's all you have to do, delete the gta_sa.set.

Never reinstall if this is happening as it's a waste of time, only reinstall if deleting gta_sa.set doesn't fix your problem.
