Vertigo Posted February 1, 2007 Share Posted February 1, 2007 I downloaded Direct X 9.0c. I tested out my sound via dxdiag, and it said that the sound card only supports software buffer. When I play the game, there's no sound. The sound's fine with other games, like Max Payne 2. Do I need a new sound card, then? BTW, I don't have any speakers, I use a laptop. Vertigo Posted February 2, 2007 Author Share Posted February 2, 2007 (edited) I got it about a year ago. It's a Dell Latitude C640 and has Intel ® Integrated Audio . I played the Max Payne 2 demo, and it can run it at the highest settings with 800 by 600 by 32 resolution and no AA. The sound is fine aswell.
