  1. If the world is ending? I'm going out with a bang. The idea is complete pish but if it does actually happen then I think it's awesome. I've had a good life and I'm going to make sure I stay that way right until the end.

Why go out with a bang? Everyone is going out, so there'll be absolutely no one to remember you going out with a bang.

And someone else is saying by 2050 there will be wars for water.

If we don't get our acts together that may end up happening.

Although likely not as soon as 2050 and hopefully by then we'd find more ways to get fresh water.

I don't understand why people see this as a problem. Haven't we had the same amount of water for a hell of a lot of time? I am decently sure that we can't physically lose water....

  2. Well, for all those who have gone out to buy the new PS3 Slim, you'll see that it is clearly a very light, efficient variant of the original PS3.

Marketed at $299 USD, it appears that even though their manufacturing costs are roughly half of what they used to be, Sony if still seeing a loss of nearly $38 dollars for every PS3 Slim they sell.

Looks as if what you're getting in that box is still a pretty sweet deal.

It's common to lose money on hardware, that's why they try to push the software as much as possible. Sony in particular was losing money on the original PS3, and the PSP. They are probably seeing a loss on the PSP Go, too.

  3. I used to love Home Improvment on the Disney Channel with Tim Allen. I have managed to get it on dvd.

That's not a cartoon o.O... I do like it, though.

Thats what decent kids TV needed. Home Improvment was full of them. Over in the UK the goverment was going on about putting an 18 certificate onto cartoons with smoking in them as it clearly makes children want to smoke. When I counted the amount of films and shows that show smoking it was sad to think these could be kept away from children. I doubt seeing a mouse smoking will make children want smoke a pipe.

Best way to make a child not want to smoke a pipe... Make them smoke a pipe. Bet they'll never smoke one again. I doubt anyone under the age of 16 could possibly enjoy a pipe.

  4. You clearly put Arkham Asylum under multiple platforms, but it was under "Multi-Platform"?

I don't exactly get what you mean.. I put it there because it's on all the consoles and PC (except Wii).

I meant to say is "wasn't under 'Multi-platform'".

  5. I absolutely love Spongebob. One of the funnniest cartoons I've ever watched, and it's good for adults too with all the little hidden innuendos that are intended to go over the kids' heads.

Every other new cartoon, especially the ones are Cartoon Network, Back at the Barnyard, Fairly Odd Parents whatever I absolutely loathe with all my heart.

I think my favorite old cartoon would be Tom and Jerry.

Funniest cartoons? You have to be kidding me. And MOST cartoons have hidden innuendos. The good ones, at least. And Fairly Oddparents is way better than Spongebob.

  6. Wow that sucks. I'm glad I don't act like a dickhead on the forums, I'd be well upset if I had all those privileges taken away!

Couldn't this post be considered a dickhead post? :P

And will someone PLEASE explain to me why I cannot raise and lower post rep.... It's confusing me.

  7. I was always quite fond of Hey Arnold, Rocket Power, and the Wild Thornberrys from that era on Nick. :)

Oh yeah, they were pretty good too. They were like the 2nd era of Nicktoons, I was almost to the age of not watching Nick anymore when they came out.

The second era was the last time Nick was any decent at all. Come era three, they screwed up royally. REALLY badly when they made half of their shows live-action. Anyone remember "Snick"? Or the very short-lived "Nickelozone" during the second-third era?

  8. I would have liked to learn about the other religious holidays in the winter. It would have been nice, then again we never learnt much. We learnt about Muslims and then watched the Terminator. Its very strange.

Talk about your conspiracy theorist and hidden agendas... :erm:

  9. Cartoons nowadays are so fucking sterile that they do and teach less good than these

I know what you mean. I have a five year old nephew and whenever he's over we watch Sponge Bob (Dora and Diego are actually ok) not to mention the new Nick Toons.

They're funny because they're stupid and disgusting. Not funny because they're funny. My parents could sit and watch Rugrats or Doug and be entertained, Spongebob makes me want to shoot myself.

Rugrats.... And Doug.... Oh boy.... The good days of Nickelodeon.

  10. Where you at in those pictures, Matt? And is that your hometown? What coast you on? That's actually decently pretty water. In Central Florida, all of our "popular" beaches are disgusting. North Florida, however, has gorgeous beaches. Pearly white sand and glimmering water.

The top picture is me standing in the Gulf of Mexico just off St. Pete Beach. The 2nd one is at Blizzard Beach water park at Disney World.

That was from my vacation in September/October, I live up in Maryland.

You could've hit me up. I see I'm not loved. :nope: Shermy still hasn't dropped by to visit yet. I should move to a European country, then all the UK peeps can come visit me. They actually visit people.

  11. Yes, I'm just a prick. Actually, Jezz, the reason I seem to pick on you more than most others is just because YOU'RE quite the prick yourself. You get so damn whiny whenever I disagree with you. As if the whole world must share your opinion.

And about the way I dress, you really can't have an opinion on it. Y'know, based on the whole you not knowing how I dress because you've never met me thing. And the same goes with how I 'act'. You've never met me, so all you know is that I like to pick on you sometimes. Oh wow, that's a whole lot of information you have.

MY bullshit? At least, again, I don't just run around whining like a child because someone disagrees with me. Dear, I'm quite certain I'd be significantly more missed than you if I died. Both on this little message board, and in real life.

Yeah, since I mentioned it, it OBVIOUSLY means something. Because.... You can only point out things that mean something. Definitely.

  12. Okay... Why do you keep treating Niko Bellic as if he is a real person?

And for the record, Christmas IS a generic holiday. The Winter Solstice is a celebrated time for a damn lot of religions. Why do Christians always think they are the special and unique ones, and only THEIR holiday takes place in Winter?

Why do I keep treating Niko as if he's real? Because he's right about some things in life, that's all. Not all of them, that is, but He's right about things being too commercial.

Why don't you quote someone who actually exists saying that? Niko has no thoughts, emotions, ideas, etc. He is just a scripted model.

  13. I will buy you a new house, i got like 12,000 to donate to a worthy cause.

Send to Spaz The Great, Central Florida area. It'll get to me, somehow.

There wasn't anything I wanted badly enough to ask for this year. But I picked up a 50" flat screen on Black Friday that's currently hanging in my living room, so that works.

Ballin'. We have a few year old projection tv that's in storage right now, so we really don't care about a tv right now. Oh, and working minimum wage means fancy tvs are out of the question anyways.

  15. Now we are coming up to Christmas, you see kids who think Jesus helps Santa in his grotto (scary I know). Do you all think Christmas has become too commercial? Should we go back to the religious meaning of Christmas?

I think we need to go back and bring the religious elements of Christmas back, I personally love the nativity story.

I tend to agree with you, but it will never happen.

For much the same reason as Spaz and others below you mentioned. If you make it just a "Christian" holiday again then the economy suffers.

Now I don't agree with the groups that think we should change the name and quote "Take Christ out of Christmas". To me it's going to come down to teaching our children and grandchildren the Christmas story as it relates to Jesus.

Of course we shouldn't change the name, I mean, that's just change for the sake of change. However, a lot of people are saying that "Happy Holidays" is taking Christ out of Christmas. Heh, I tend to just laugh at people like that, though.

It is quite funny that only Christmas is REALLY being commercialized hard. Most other winter celebrations are still spiritual ceremonies. And hell, Christmas isn't even the only one with gifts and decorations, what about Hanukkah? I guess it's probably to do with Christmas being so popular, even among non-Christians.

Well many schools don't do the Nativity Play anymore as its offensive to other religons apprantly. So many people have the memory of standing on stage with a tea towel on their head trying to remember the lines, while many children have wet themselves or got bored and ran off. I played a sheep.

I just wish it wasn't so commercial, people who put up their lights in November piss me off so much. I think Christmas can be a lovely time and as a child its so magical. I just think children should know the story of the birth of Jesus.

Well, yeah, why should they get to do the Nativity Play, but not a play on any other holiday history? That's a tad unfair.

And double on the lights in November. My mom likes to put hers up about the time she finishes eating Thanksgiving dinner. Ugh. Around here, people are already selling and buying live Christmas trees! REALLY!? They die in like a week!

Growing up we only ever did the Nativity in Sunday School. Because of the separation of Church and State (which I wholeheartedly agree with) you're not allowed to discuss religion in public schools. In history class we would learn the history of Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanza, what have you, often with teachers from whatever religion telling it to us.

The over saturation/commercialization of Christmas will never stop. One day we'll be telling our kids (in the US) about this holiday we used to celebrate at the end of November called "Thanksgiving".

Heh, we learned the history of Christmas. Then we learned that you play with dradles on Hanukkah, and that black people celebrated Kwanzaa. That's ALL we learned...

Commercialization in ANYTHING is definitely not going away. Quite the opposite. I hate it. I find Thanksgiving ironically humorous, considering what we did and what we're doing to the Natives... But it's still got a good purpose to it. Getting together and being thankful of what and who you've got.

  16. Quite frankly, the game was made JUST for topics like this. They just wanted a response, and you're giving it to them. Big deal, they made a game out of it. Get over it. You don't have to play the game((and trust me, I tried it out, it sucks pretty hardcore)), so you never have to even think about it. Really.

Besides that, this is incredibly old news, it's been posted here at least once, and got the same responses. I repeat, just get over it.

EDIT: OH, and yes, let's just forget it happened. Let's forget everything horrific that ever happened, that's how to live life. Never remember, think about, or worry about bad things happening. You go ahead and do that.

  17. You clearly put Arkham Asylum under multiple platforms, but it was under "Multi-Platform"? And why was Left for Dead 2 not under Multiplayer? It... Clearly is.... It's also a multi-platform game. You should probably fix up the options a bit. I would, but that seems a tad intrusive. :)

  18. She needs to be fucking shot.

    Agreed.

So the 12 year old girl should be shot leaving her child without a mother?

That's ok but aborting a fetus is not?

Lol I think we were both being sarcastic. :o

I don't think anyone is "pro-abortion" that means that you think everyone should be aborted.

The way I see it it simply means that someone would choose abortion over adoption or keeping the baby whenever someone is debating over the three.

but an unborn child is a sacred life?

Every life is a sacred life, with the exception of those who try to infringe upon the lives of others in very negative ways, e.g. Hitler, murderers, abortion 'doctors', etc.

Yeah, because the choice should ALWAYS be keep it or adoption, right? Because, if you can't afford it, you can always just pawn it off on an over-crowded adoption agency. Their problem now, right?

Hey dumbass, "abortion doctors" don't infringe on the lives of others, considering how you agree to have an abortion. Otherwise, it's probably considered assault.

Christians try to infringe on the lives of others in negative ways, like trying to shove it down our throats that your way is the only right way. Does that mean I am free to murder any Christian who acts this way? Lovely reasoning, jackass.

I'd much rather see a baby put up for adoption. I can't stand the people who will say "Well I wasn't ready to be a parent" Shouldn't have had sex. There's oral sex, masturbation (alone or mutual) hell anal sex = no kids possible.

"Couldn't afford birth control" It's a lot cheaper than a kid. Or again, don't have sex. It's not like breathing no matter what people seem to act like. I've gone months without an orgasm. Does it suck, hell yes, but I'm still walking around.

That's exactly what I've been saying the whole time.

And the whole thing about keeping abortion legal because otherwise people would be doing it in back alleys and dying is absolute BS, because you know what? Their fucking fault. They choose to have a back alley abortion, it's their fault if they die, it's their fault they had unprotected sex.

It's like saying that we're never gonna keep people from murdering, so let's take every murderer and put them in a big hall where they can all go crazy and kill each other.

    Is that right?

And just so you all know, when it comes to rape I'm mixed because in that case the mother did nothing wrong, but as always the baby didn't either.

Where does the murderer-hall comparison make any sense? Yes, that would be a grand idea. Let the murderers kill each other, and not us.

We don't have to protect every single living organism. Every life is sacred? So you mean every living thing is sacred then, right? Bet you never sprayed ants or smashed a roach right? Don't use paper products, that's a result of murder. Oh, and meat products, as well. Want to go extreme? You have fun with it.

I wholeheartedly agree on that. I think Niko Bellic was right about things getting too commercial; most people seem to be missing the real point and treat Christmas as if it was just some generic holiday. They also seem to miss the point about what the Lord really did. I really hated the fact that I've seen atheists pissing a typical Christian's day, thinking that his insistence on non-sectarian ways are righteous. I'd say I'll leave my neighbour alone and let them face the consequences, if any.

  20. On February 14th we were hacked and had no recent backups to restore.

    Oh . . .

Yeah I was wondering why the oldest people joined on February 15th 04 and yet they claimed they had been here since like 2002.

Back in 2002, TGTAP used PHPBB, then they got hacked numerous times and upgraded to IPB in 04.

No, read the history. We switched to IPB in 03.

  21. Seeing as I'm practically the only member whose appearance is a complete mystery due to never venturing into this topic (or owning a camera), I think it's about time for that to end. I'm still not getting a camera, though.

One of my friends took this during breakfast sometime this week. I'm taking it without permission

Hm, is it weird to say that I've wondered what you've looked like for a pretty long time haha?

That's one person down, Spaz is the only one left to post pics :)

You do realize this is topic number three, right? And funnily enough, there's pictures of me on the same page you posted this.
