  3. According to Rockstar North’s Neil Corbett said that the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV was superior to the PlayStation 3 version. He went on to say: Also reported over at Boomtown he said that That's a pretty interesting statement coming from Rockstar. I'd like to see what Sony has to say about it.
  4. Microsoft is rumored to be slashing the price of their XBOX 360 a week before it's release. Why you ask? The GTA series has always been a Sony Playstation series and Microsoft wants a large piece of the GTA pie. TechRadar is reporting that the price of every Xbox 360 SKU is to be slashed by 50 Euros on March 14 across Europe and cites "well-placed games industry sources". I am filing this under the rumor category and await details from Microsoft.
  5. I've contacted R* about Gordon, just waiting on a reply. (highly doubt they will give any info but I will let you guys know)
  6. A new actor has emerged as a character in GTAIV. David Conley who is best known for starring in such movies like The Departed and TV show Law and Order. He will be playing the character "Gordon". Maybe I haven't payed close enough attention to who Gordon is, but does anyone else know "Gordon" will be?
  7. Yep, I agree, I emailed them and let them know, will probably take then two weeks to notice it lol.
  8. We highly doubt that R* has moved there release date, but 1up seems to think so. The image below is taken from this page and it says that the release date is 4/19/08. According to the official News Page on the GTAIV website it still says 4.29. Nice goof 1up!
  9. With all of the recent news of Take-Two possibly getting bought out, investors jumped at the chance to cash in on the possible acquisition. Take-Two's stock rose an astounding 51.6% above the last closing. As of this writing, 20 million shares have already changed hands. Stockholders believe that the deal will go through. We will monitor it as the day goes on to see what happens since Take-Two has announced they will not take the deal that EA proposed. Related Links: Yahoo Finance
  10. Maybe Jack is what everyone has called him. I go by a nickname as well, so who knows.
  11. After two offers made by Electronic Arts for Take Two, the end result is Take Two rejecting these offers. It was published in their statement with this headline; "AKE-TWO INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE'S BOARD REJECTS ELECTRONIC ARTS' UNSOLICITED PROPOSAL AS INADEQUATE." EA has given reasons as to why Take Two should be bought out: - EA believes that Take-Two's current share price already reflects investor expectations for a strong release of GTA IV as well as the longer-term issues that Take-Two faces. Once GTA IV ships, Take-Two will again be dependent on less-popular titles and face increasing challenges to compete with larger and better-capitalized competitors. - With GTA IV shipping on April 29, development on this important title must now be essentially complete. We believe now is the right time to complete a transaction with minimal disruption for Take-Two. In the end, Take Two has refused to accept the buy over, since they believe EA is just trying to profiteer on their upcoming released. Original Article: TakeTwo
  12. His middle name is "Bruce" wonder if that's where they got "Brucie" ? lol
  13. Jack Thompson an abuser? Yes it's a fact, he has abused the courts in submitting frivolous and inappropriate filings. The Florida courts want nothing more to do with him and this document proves it: Well I guess what goes around comes around Mr. Thompson, see you in court! Email document provided by: DailyTech
  14. We reported on this topic about a month ago, and now we have some further evidence to back up the rumors that have been floating around. EA seems to be one step closer to acquiring Take-Two, which is the parent company to Rockstar. CVG has reported that EA proposes to acquire Take-Two in an all-cash deal valued at approximately $2.0 billion. One of the larger assets that Take-Two has under it's belt is Grand Theft Auto. With it's debut coming this April development on the title would be essentially complete. EA had warned Take-Two's bosses that if they refused to engage in negotiations, the company would go public with its bid. Today, EA made good on that threat. The full letter from EA to Take-Two is provide below. Document provided by Next-Gen.Biz

  19. So it Looks like Microsoft has finally announced what it's Exclusive DLC deal w/ Rockstar really means, according to Microsoft each episode of DLC content will be equal to the games San Andreas and Vice City for Ps2/Xbox. They have also stated that Digital Downloads will be the new way to deliver the GTA "Expansions." So it looks like with this new announcement if you were planning on playing the Vice City/San Andreas versions of GTA IV the 360 is the Definitive version to get, with the first expansion arriving as early as Fall this year and the next one to follow-up in 2009. GTAIV DLC * When MS says exclusive, they mean that no other system can have DLC content for GTAIV * It will be bigger than a lot of people think. GTA3 Vice City and San Andreas were basically expansions of GTA3. Think of the DLC that way. We are talking major expansion for GTAIV * No price has been discussed yet. It’s up to Rockstar on whether or not they will charge for it * If successful, DLC may be the new way to deliver GTA expansions Source: TheBitBag
