Wow, I never knew that! I swear I remember reading the mission dialouge and it said Tommy.. But guess not. Wow again. You learn something new every day. I played one of the classic GTA's once, then a little GTA 3, then Vice City. I just always figured it was Tommy until San Andreas. I guess they use a different person every game? [Aside from the "Stories" series.]

It would be nice. GTA United is the most common one I have read about, but guess it died..

Well, if no one can help, then I guess I will just try to do it the manual way.. Hopefully I wont muff up any files. [Yes I backed them up.]\\\ Edit: When manually downloading cars, do you HAVE to edit the handling/default.ide files?

I thought GTA III was Tommy? Am I missing something? O_o

Well I don't know who Claude is, but could you try to explain what the mod is supposed to do? If it is just a skin, then it should be the same as Tommy.

I just raced it like normal. No P.I.T, no shooting out tires. I have played Vice City for years, so I know it pretty well.

I am trying to use VCMM instead of manually so I dont screw up my files as easily, but for some reason the cars are not showing up in game. -I am running Vista -I have DMagic installed -I am trying to extract directly from the download file, but it says "Access Denied" -I am dragging the .vcm files to the correct location [VCM > Mods > VCM] -I tried to re install DMagic, but when I uninstall it says Access Denied. -The cars I try to replace are completely gone from the game I did search around, but no topics I seen looked like mine. Someone please try to help me? Edit: Should I just download working non VCM files, then convert them to VCM and see if that works? I heard most downloadable VCM files dont work.. Edit Again: Nvm the above, that didn't work either.

Yeah, Vista. I thought I posted that in my first post, but guess I didn't.. Anyways, it isn't security reasons, because before I modded it the game worked fine. [im the Admin on it too, so no problem there.]

Well I wont be getting it until PC version, because I don't have a next-gen console yet. [saving up for 360] However, when I do get it, I will free-roam for about 10 mins, then start doing missions. After I finish a couple missions I will free-roam a bit more, then back to missions. After I finish the missions I will do side missions, and eventually have no more objectives. Thus leaving me to play on multiplayer.

GTA Don, do you mean run a Registry scan? There is another file that has been bugging me for months about not being in my registry, and I tried to go find it, but couldn't. If you would like to PM me about instead of posting in this thread, that would be fine. Thanks.

Hello all, I am new to the forums, but not to GTA. I do have a problem though. Whenever I try to start the game either it will crash immediately, or I will be able to create a new game, but then there will be a "Ding", and then the game will crash. I have made sure the default/handling/carcol files are completely original. I did use IMG Tool a while back, and had some new .dff and .txd for car replacements, but I dont know how to replace them with the originals [if I need to]. Can someone please try to help?
