  1. I love the fact, that each GTA after GTA III is set before.

It makes it more interesting I think.

I like looking into the past of some of the characters.

For every GTA to have taken place after III, it just wouldn't be possible. For it to be possible there would have to have a 2-3 gap between each, and the time setting would become vastly boring. IMO

I reckon VC wouldn't be as much of a favourite if it was set in 2002 (1 year after the events of GTA III) and SA being set in 2004.

Setting them in the past is good, because I think what makes every GTA special is their "Style" and "Theme".

Although it is funny how Tommy could own properties in 1986, and Claude couldn't buy anything else, bar guns in 2001. lol

I know you were specifically talking about LCS, but I just wanted to rave on about GTA in general. hehehe

  2. People like this prick are taking up valuable oxygen from the rest of us.

    I don't know why he's having a limp d*** over GTA. I mean it's not that bad.

Yea, when you see those cases where people have killed people and blamed it on video games are stupid because think of how many people who play the video game who haven't killed people, it shows that people who kill people who blame it on the video games are stupid.

Look at everyone on this site. It's proof that people can play GTA, without killing others.

  3. Topic bump I know, but I want to have my say.

    GTA 1 for me.

The original that started it all. I remember playing it, and thinking how kickass it was at the time.

Although I agree that GTA III "made" the series into what it is today.

I never thought playing GTA 1 back when I was 12, that in a 10 year period the GTA offspring would be 9 games.

    GTA fan for life man.

  4. hey if i still had them i would play them now they're still rele good games even if the graphics aren't "next gen" but who cares????

    Exactly.

People who call these games "sh*t" or anything else, and call themselves GTA fans really should be punched in the guts. (I wasn't talking about anyone here)

I would still play GTA 1 and 2 if I still had them.

  5. Well, CJ came in forgotten... Didn't he?

That's true, but I was more pointing out no one knew who Tommy was when he first arrived in VC (Apart from Sonny, and Ken of course). He had to build relationships, and his empire from nothing.

CJ atleast had family, and friends when he came back from LC.

Yeh but with tommy he would do any thing to get what he whants would CJ, Tommy also killed Soney some one in his family.

    :pissedred:

    Sonny was a prick.

I was glad Tommy smoked his ass. Along with Diaz, and Lance.

    All deserved what they got.

The thing I love about Tommy is he's everything that a pyschotic, murdering, drug dealer should be, and that's show no remorse or sympathy for anyone. CJ at times was too emotional, and "Family caring". Which is why I think Tommy has more respcet.

  6. Same as last year, and the year before, and the year before that. Probably nothing. lol

I usually go away on my birthday, which is like a week after Christmas.

I'm getting VCS and LCS on PS2, but that's it so far.

  7. Americans would understand this, with the Ford vs Chev rivalry, but it doesn't seem as blood thristy as Holden vs Ford.

    I drive a 1986 VL Commodore (RB30E, 5 Speed)

I'm actually a huge fan of XWs/XYs and XA/B/C coupes.

So I don't know. Deep down I have been Holden for years, but there's Fords that demand respect.

  8. It would be good for just messing around, but would be annoying for one of those car chase missions.

If you're using automatic for drag racing you're not that bright. You can get better times with manual.

If talking about real life, Autos are better suited for drag racing.

A shiftkit and stall convertor will always get a car faster down the 1/4, than a manual.:)

Especially if the car's Turbocharged, as Autos can still hold a fair amount of boost between gear changes, whereas a manual when changing gears loses boost temporarily, and has to spool the turbo back up.

  9. Welcome to the family TG. (I'll just call you by that, since I've always known you as TG)

Also if anyone wants to know my real name, it's Ryan. Johnny Fidalgo was just something that popped into my head yesterday.

  10. People who've been in the gta scene for a long time always prefer gta 3, people who are fairly new prefer vice city. It's just a matter of which you played first generally, I play Vice City first however as I love the 80s I'd always go for Vice City

I know this is old, but anyway........

I've been in the GTA scene since 1998, and I always prefer VC to GTA III.

I played III when it first came out, and as soon as VC came out I was blown away. Ironically I never felt the same way about SA.

For their age though, III and VC are still kick ass games.
