Huckleberry Pie
I just want to ask you guys, what type of 3D model does GTA: Vice City use? It's obvious that it's mostly low-to-medium polygon, but what file type is it and is Vice City a workable machinima medium?
Blackadder
Vice City uses a DFF file format (So do GTAIII and SA) Also with the right tools, you CAN do a pretty good Machinma with VC Tools: Fraps Camhack Vice Studios Good Luck

I'm into making my comedy film, based on Splinter Cell, using the Sims 1/2 engine, and GTA: Vice City...
Blackadder
Don't forget video editing software. Some things to Google for that: Adobe Ulead Avid Oops, forgot that... You CAN use Windows Movie Maker, it can do a basic compilation of videos....but it generally sucks.. Adobe Premiere Pro is a good program, along with Sony Vegas....I think you have to pay for both though (Maybe you get free trails) EDIT: The splinter Cell parts will be interesting Edited May 6, 2007 by Blackadder

About the Splinter Cell parts, my machinima is based on that game and on GTA, you can read more about it by clicking here. Tommy, one of the Vice City protagonists, made a cameo appearance in my Splinter story, too...

Please kid, don't use ALL CAPS in the forums, and watch your grammar; anyway, you can, only that you need to convert such models to Vice City-compatible ones...
