Righty
I'd go for a GTP or Bonneville SSEI or something.
Sherman
lol.. nice. I found a 94(?) BMW 530i on craigslist, gotta find the link again... one of those V8s.. $4500. From the V8 bimmers I've heard.. wow. o.o Pontiac =/= BMW
Urbanoutlaw
Pontiac = Chevy. The FWD Pontiacs mostly use Buick V-6s Lost respect for them when they quit using their own engines. The Pontiac 400 was The best engine GM ever build. Biggest bone head move since Ford quit building the 351/400 Claeveland. Too bad you don't work on 'em, you could probably find a sweet '70s Trans-Am to restore behind some barn in your neck of the woods. Sherman
I don't like the styling much, to be honest. That's really what I was talkin' about, lol.
Urbanoutlaw
Too bad you don't live closer, I'd give you a deal on a '72 Galaxie (2-door). The BMW looks good on paper, bet if everybody's got one.... What style are you looking for?
Sherman
Car that kinda have.. class to them, mid sized sedans/coupes. I like Chrysler Sebrings, but I've heard bad things about them. :/
Urbanoutlaw
Chrysler Sebrings were built by Mitsubishi, if that make any difference. You could look for a 2-door Volare (late '70s). They're fairly cheap, easy to fix & don't look bad. If they need front end work you could run into some costs but the engines (especially the slant 6) run forever. Obviously, rust is an issue. Gotta go (My kid's here), back later.
Sherman
I'm lookin' for something late 80's and new, lol.
Righty
Chrysler sebring women's mid life crisis car. And NOT the greatest reliability. Sorry, but I'm leary of anything that has the chrysler symbol on it.
Sherman
I don't know what I'm thinking of then, a 300M? But arn't those the same chassis/body? You have any suggestions? Besides the Pontiac things..
Urbanoutlaw
Righty - Don't blame you on that one. They forgot how to build a decent car when they started building mini-vans. I hate mini-vans. Late '80s... T-bird/Cougar Lincoln Mk VII (watch for probs w/ air ride, can retrofit T-bird sports suspension under $500). These things MOVE w/ 5.0. Nissan 300 Z Nissan 240 (Silvia) Honda Prelude Toyota Supra Mazda RX-7 I didn't bother w/ the Camaro/Firebird as you already have access to one (as I recall). Sherman
Are 300z's two seaters? I always thought they had four.. I'm looking for 4, lol. Supra would be cool, I like the way they look. RWD FTW!
Urbanoutlaw
Here's a review of the 300Z 2 seater (Love the search bar!) - http://www.carsurvey.org/review_51943.html
Sherman
Ah, yeah. 300zx I've decided once more to screw getting a slow-er car. I remember driving the camaro.. I love torque. And watching vids.. yeaah. I believe I'll go back looking into the DSM game. The 2nd gen's are sexay. Thanks for the help anyway, though.
Pandora
I actually thought people in America love pick-ups.. How come you don't want that? Uh.. yeah. You can't really race with them or anything, but they're still pretty nice. You could also just buy a second hand Daihatsu for just 100 USD I think. But those cars are rubbish. Sherman
I've decided once more to screw getting a slow-er car. They're okay, I like the Nissan Hardbody. But honestly, I never haul anything.. and something in my price range would only be an extended cab, so I might as well would get a 2 seater. You can't really race with them or anything, but they're still pretty nice. I want the truck and they can be pretty fast, especially the diesel ones. I know the ford and dodge diesels have like 650 ftlb of torque from the factory at like `1500 rpm. I'm fairly certain you can get the fords with a 4.30 rear end. IF you could get traction to the ground with that (remember trucks don't have weight on the back) it'd be real quick to
