As far as I know, those were great enemies during the second world war. The only think I can think of is the pin (?) predates WWII, before Hitler decided to take over the world. Not sure who thought it when he first came into power, but no one believed him when he said Hitler was bad. I will add that Hitler's plans were to make Germany a great place. Everyone wanted that, but they didn't know what he was going to try. Hitler said what the German people wanted to hear when they wanted to & the rest is history. He gave them someone to blame for their problems.
