i downloaded a saved game i stuck it in My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files

the game will load all the way then it will crash, someone help

Make sure that the savegame that you downloaded is for your version of the game. You can check by starting up the game and when you're at the start menu, it should say "V2.00". If your save game is a for V1 of the game, then you will need to downgrade. And if your main.scm is modded, then you will have to start a new game.

The main.scm won't function with savegames from other main.scms because it generates different function IDs, which confuses it - thus the instant crash is usually imminent.

I don't think a V1 Save would work for a Downgraded V1 Game, since the downgrader only downgrades the exe file, so the MAIN.SCM file would remain untouched.

So unless you own the original V1 copy of the game, you're screwed.
