New colors

Hi! could someone please show me how to make new colors and help me put them in vice city because I have some awesome colors but I'm not sure how to put them in

Any help would be appreciated...

you mean for cars???

they go in carcols.dat which would be in your data folder

eg C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA Vice City\data\carcols.dat

I think this is what he's after, add it to CARCOLS.DAT right after the list of colors & before the list of vehicles.

Make sure the numbers aren't already used. Enjoy.

well this is type of what I wanted but I wanted to know HOW to make the colors you posted before.

For example what do the numbers at the beginning (ex: 254,64,54) mean and is the the name (ex: BLUE LIGHTNING) the name of the color or very important piece of making the colors.

Also what program could I use to view those colors?, instead of putting them in Vice City and viewing them

that set of 3 numbers is a RGB code.

eg 200, 155, 70

200 red , 155 green, 70 blue

255 is the maximum and 0 is minimum

so if you had 255,255,255 it would be white

just open paint and then you can use that. go to the bottom where all the colours are, then double click one of them. you get a little box with basic colours and custom colours. click define custom colours, then type whatever numbers into red green blue and you can see it there.

This looks awesome on an Infernus Or the Lambo I replaced it w/. I can't claim credit for making the color, I found it in

the README of a car I DL'ed for VC.

No the name isn't necessary to make a color work in CARCOLS.DAT, just the RGB specs.
