_Ray Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) Currently, I'm on my Mom's Dell Latitude laptop. The reason is that my other PC will not pass the POST Test and boot up. It happened when I set the CPU Host Frequency in the BIOS to 234 MHz (2.1GHz CPU, 234 MHz FSB, 234 MHz DDR RAM) The norms are the host at 200, CPU at 1.8, RAM @ 200, FSB @ 200. Setting the Host to 222 had worked just fine. When I saved the settings to BIOS and re-booted the computer, it turned on, and did absolutely nothing. No POST Test Beep, no monitor display or nothing. Really all that happened was the power light and fans turning on. That's it. When I reset it, the power light began flickering, and the PC continuously made 3 second beeping noises. It just kept doing that. No boot, nothin. Now this has happened before, but I can't remember what I did to fix it. I have tried power cycling it, holding the delete key, leaving it off for a while, etc. So my question is, how to I reset BIOS? If I can't, then how to do I get the PC to boot at least enough so I can get into BIOS and change the bad settings? P.S., I did not over-volt anything.
