Slayer
Tool for modding the game would be: - IMG tool 2.0 - GXT editor - txd workshop 3.5 - audio editor All avaliable from main site's download database. Note: most mods will just require IMG tool. I've out these other tools because they are sometimes (read: rarely) needed for some particular mods. The JD
Don't double post! The mods on this website and any mod on any other website are for the PC version of San Andreas only! You cannot mod textures on the PS2! BTW, Welcome to the forums!
Slayer
Modifying games for consoles is possible if you have the right utility to copy the content of your PS2 disk onto your HDD, mod it, and then burn the modded compilation to a new disk.
chris82
Yes, to mod SA for PS2, you need a dual-layer DVD burner, a blank DVD, a burning app that's able to create ISO disks, a PS2 with a modchip, and about 5-7GB of free HD space. Copy the entire SA disc to a folder on your PC, mod it, and burn it onto a dual-layer DVD as an ISO. Then turn your PS2 modchip on and play the game. Trust me, it's a lot easier to just shell out $20 for the PC version and mod that.
The JD
Wow, you can actually mod PS2 SA? Well I guess I learnt something new today. Does the above mentioned utility create folders and stuff similar to the PC version or is it an entirely different layout?
