It's a tad anathema to R*'s notion of not making any first-person shooter games, but they did seem to pull it off real good. I think this might be due in part to games like Far Cry 4 being an open-world FPS, and now I'm wondering how they implemented the camera mode in GTA V. In most first-person games they typically use a separate hand view model due to difficulties with animating and keeping unwanted geometry from clipping through. Similar case with cockpit views in racing games, as the interior is a separate (and more detailed) model.

I would like go give big big salamat to him, his family and friends in the GTA scene for being one of the most creative and funniest modding dudes ever. You will be missed, Yeardly.

Well, here's another one of them phones that I churned out fairly recently, but procrastinated with submitting it. I actually made it a few days after buying an IRL 369i. The phone's 'swell for daily use, but still I find it a bit lacking especially as some sensors like GPS were omitted, presumably to cut costs. To install, simply replace cj_mobile_3.wdr, cj_mobile_hand_1.wdr and cj_ld_phone_final.wtd in Grand Theft Auto IV\pc\data\maps\props\lev_des\minigame.img with the ones provided, using your favourite mod tool, be it OpenIV or SparkIV. Make sure that you have a backup ready, just to make sure. As what I said on Facebook recently, this would've been better if R* had used Steamworks for matchmaking instead. And it was a poor move on Rockstar's part to use GFWL when a lot of gamers hated it for adding up to the bloat.

Except for the Trevor torture scene, to which even some gamers objected to. Steven Ogg's character did however lamented on how the government used torture afaik.

Lyric sites aren't necessarily a haven for malware, or at least that's what I experience on my end. The only thing close would be obnoxiously obtrusive ad banners for prawn sites and of course malware and work-at-home/free energy/trainers hate him scams, all of which can be zapped with just an Adblock plugin and/or a modified hosts file.

Back when Harry Potter was all the rage conservative parents warned about its supposedly-pagan content, when it was no more than a case of fairy-tale magic that you can find in a Disney movie. Now look at what happened afterwards. Being that people usually doesn't take what the news media is churning out with a grain of salt, they'll buy and buy into such bigotry and therefore increase the news outlets' ratings. It's like they're saying that the 50s or 60s was better, yet there are some shitty and/or edgy things that happened at the time.

Sorry for the vent, but I couldn't help but cringe about how TV networks here are crassly making a one-sided, author-tract "report" on the supposed dangers of video games, especially in light of recent incidents, like a case involving a teenager killing his own grandmother over his DOTA addiction. They would cite "studies" linking games to real-world aggression, even though it is more or less clear that it isn't conclusive, and based on the local media (ABS-CBN/GMA/TV5)'s rap sheet and rep among pundits, it sounds more like a case of yellow journalism and fearmongering for profit. Well, that's a drag, but I guess you can't mention everyone. Shirley was better off after her stint as a child/teen actress, and although I personally didn't like her political leanings (she's a Republican), at least she didn't end up getting too caught up in trouble unlike most other child actors after their careers - Lindsay Lohan spent time on rehab, and don't get me started on Bieber.

It would've probably been better if they stated that the World Wide Web as we know it is now 25 years old.

And don't forget about Shirley Temple, too: Some tabloid purportedly revealed that she died from lung disease and was a chain-smoker, but while I'm a bit surprised it isn't really that much given how smoking wasn't seen as a problem back in her day.

There seems to be a a sizeable number of iOS users here, but practically everyone here with a computer or a portable device would usually leave the language settings to English i.e. EN-US or EN-PH, which is an irony considering their misplaced pride and rabid sense of patriotism. As for iOS's market share, it's apparently dwarfed by Android users given the number of local firms marketing low-cost tablets and phones re-badged under their own brand (although some take the "extra mile" and label it as "designed in the US" when a Google search tells it's not).

Well, the GTA series is known for their mature content, but as per forum rules concerning pornography...
