Lol, I just noticed how even though I'm running SP1, SP2 isn't in Windows Update.....
-
I think it's better than before.....

When you install programs there is almost ALWAYS a way to choose to install it to another HDD. Some will require you to select 'Custom Installation'. Install all your apps on the C:\ and then reinstall them on the D:\ All of your stuff that's not tied to the drive (e.g., music, videos, pics) can be manually copied and pasted to the D:\ Also, I don't know the size of your HDD, but 18GB isn't Extremely low. But it's definitely getting there. But keep Windows on the C:\ because will 2 HDDs active your PC will be a bit faster.

That's much of the reason I turned Auto Updates completely off. Also because my internet stopping and my ODDs not working seemed to occur after the updates. (Not driver update problems, because reinstalling the original drivers didn't fix it.) The beautiful classic theme: Oh yeah, and you'll love it when I say that I strongly considered keeping the entire plain blue background. And I like it because it's simple. Although for mostly everything else I enjoy complication..... EDIT: On my wonderful new PC, with everything on the absolute MAX in FSX (Had to go into custom settings to acheive this) I get a steady 15-18 FPS. Not too great, but it looks AMAZING. And for those that said FSX needed the i7, my CPU rarely gets above 50% during FSX.

I used to play it in 5th grade, but got bored and am starting to play it again now. My user name is Horserump995. But I only play like an hour a week because I get bored really quick.

Ya, I'd say the GTS 250.

Yeah, thanks. WRX22B1998 =

I personally give it a 3/10. I Love the 32-bit compatibility of the x64 version, and the classic theme. I HATE it because it's corrupted itself on me twice within a week (Stopped Internet and ODD recognition), it uses lots of memory, crashes frequently, tells me 'OS not found' every other time I try to boot, and it just has so many other problems. Long story short, it pretty much sucks, and if you're getting a 32-bit OS, get XP SP2, and if you want 64-bit, wait for Windows 7.

Tapping into our food supply when there's millions of people starving in the world, eh? They run on Nitromethane. Alcohol is used for the lower level cars. its the most abundant element on earth...if that's not widely available enough i dunno what is. yeah prius etc makes no sense. a friend was telling me that by the time they make one of those, all the energy put into making it is worth like 4 years of driving a land rover in carbon emissions. (shipping batteries from overseas, all the special parts etc) Lol, hydrogen the most abundant?? Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Water are the most abundant above the surface. Actually, there is very little hydrogen on the Earth, but they produce it from water, natural gas, etc. Take a deep breath. Bingo. And as for filling up more often, would filling up on something that will never run out be much more of an inconvenience than filling up on something that will eventually run out? You do have a point about transportation, but managed to bring up the point that i'm getting at. The government telling us to do all the eco-work, but not investing themselves. Mixed with CO2 and O2? A hydrogen car needs pure hydrogen and there are only a few ways of getting it. An example is through electrolysis. However, you only get limited amounts of it through this process and is certainly not enough to power a whole world's automobiles. To your point about having to fill up more often; it costs the same to fill a tank with hydrogen as it does to fill a tank with petrol. But because you have to fill up more often it costs more to run a hydrogen vehicle rather than a petrol vehicle which probably would put off customers and the manufacturers. Okay... So we spend more money in order to drive. Big deal. Guess what that means? MORE MONEY IN CIRCULATION. It's called economy, and as a world we're facing a crisis. People don't understand that spending less isn't the answer in a recession, it only worsens it. And guess what else? All this money that will be made off it((because by your logic, they will make more money than they do now, because people will be filling up more often for the same price)) can be turned around to make hydrogen easier to obtain. That's how progression works. We're already billions of dollars in debt here in America, we might as well give it a shot in the dark and jump for it. We can't really do much more damage. So if I have 200k of credit card debt, going on a shopping spree is the right thing to do? You're beginning to sound like Obama.....

But Hydrogen Fuel Cells are not the way to go. BMW has invested in a hydrogen powered internal combustion engine, which instead of using Hydrogen and Oxygen to create electricity for an electric motor, it actually sucks H2 and O2 into the engine, sparks it, KABOOM!!! Your piston gets pushed down, turns the crank, then the tranny, then the axle, then, by golly, THE WHEELS!!!! They have much better efficiency (Hydrogen used compared to the power) plus you still get the fun sound of an internal-combustion engine. (It releases only water for those of you wondering) http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Exp...b2-73f10fc5b9ad

Lol, what? Outdated Hardware???
-
Anyway, here are the results for my HDDs: (Not too disappointing, but nothing spectacular either) OCZ Vertex WD Caviar Black 1TB (A bit more disappointing here....)
-
But the card only has 896MB.
-
Well, I must've, because it's not in my list of updates to install. EDIT: Nope, lol, Computer>Properties says Vista SP1. Is SP2 better? Tell me the specific advantages and disadvantages. I know that personally, I was very disappointing with the slowness of XP SP3. Also, I just downloaded SP1 for FSX, and I didn't notice ANY differences at all, although it did seem a bit slower too......

You know what, I'm just gonna turn off Automatic updates COMPLETELY since that's where my problems seem to arise. I see no further need to update anything other than a new service pack, for example.

run > diskmgmt.msc change the drive letter in that. WTF do you use B for lol, whats wrong with C like the rest of us B: was actually used to be reserved for 5 1/4" floppy for your video card im not too sure, maybe theres an option in BIOS. thats a goddamn lie. wireless took all of 2 minutes to set up for me on XP lol. i was just making a point. I have two HDDs, my SSD being C:\ and my 1TB WD being B:\. I like having my two drive letters right next to each other, and it wouldn't let me format it to D. P.S., I have drives from A-N. (A is my floppy, B is my 1TB, C is my SSD, D is my BD-ROM, E and F are Internal DVD Burners, G is an external DVD Burner, H is an extra SD Reader, I is a flash drive, J is my IPOD, and K, L, M, and N are drives from my Media Reader) And I hate to say it, but the person I agree with most on this topic is Spaz....... UNBELIEVABLE. Not even a day after reinstalling Vista, it now won't recognize any of my optical drives. FUCK. Nevermind, a system restore fixed it. Wonder how long it'll be until something else fucks up...... And Chris82, I don't know what type of Insane LUCK you're having with Vista, but I absolutely despite it and currently wish to #$%#2K($^ER&UQ#$AYUBD Vista.

Proof of the shared memory: (Remember that my card only has 896MB built in)

Why the hell would he need to reformat after only 5 days? And I've had absolutely no luck doing anything with Vista's settings. I sat there fighting Vista on Chestnut's mom's computer. It would connect to the network, but wouldn't get off of "local only". No matter what we did. Yeah, that's exactly what happened to me. Anyway, I called Microsoft and they said do a fresh install of Vista, (figures), so I did, and Iit works again. Hopefully it won't go down again....... Also, when I reinstalled Vista, my 1TB Drive, formerly the B:\ drive, is now the G:\ drive. Is there anyway to change this back? And yes, my Video Card is apparently taking out 2.8GB. Oh yeah, and Microsoft had originally told me to try upgrading Vista with the CD. First time told me it was unsuccessful, second time it booted upgraded, but the internet still didn't work AND it wouldn't recognize any of my optical drives. P.S., Vista's "simplicity" and extreme idiot-proofing are the two main reasons I hate it. The only things I've been pleased about so far is the great 32-bit compatibility and that they saved the Classic theme.

Hey. Notice I've been gone for about a week? Well, the internet was working fine on my PC, and I was so amazed at how fast the PC was. After 5 days however, the network connection failed. Firefox and IE told me that although the server seemed valid, they could not establish a connection. Thinking I had been a victim of the Integrated networking going bad like half the others on Newegg, I bought a Rosewill PCI Card. Still didn't work. Uninstalled AVG, tried Direct to modem, changed about every damn setting Vista would let me. (Which is not very many.) So now, I'm on Ubuntu 8.10 on CD, and the Internet works fine. Pissing me off, because I have no idea HOW to fix Vista. Any ideas?? Raybob Two more significantly more minor questions: How do I change how much RAM my GTX 275 takes out of my system? Because it's taking over 2.8 Gig for God's sake. Also, why does Task Manager tell me that I only have 5MB Free RAM on average although it says I'm only using 2-3GB RAM?
-
Nope, because mine can't run Vice City for 5 minutes without resetting (Old PSU), or run San Andreas at all. (Crappy PC) EDIT: And sadly, my new PC can't run it at all because of 64-bit issues.

Time to brag. I still have a few more things that haven't come yet, but here's the main stuff: EDIT: I just realized you can't see it, but the thing in the Bubble Wrap is my 1TB WD HDD, and the box under it is my Blu-Ray player. All my Amazon stuff, Transfer software, and 2 Samsung DVD Drives haven't come yet. And sadly, I have no time right now, so I might not even build it for another 1 or 2 weeks, also because some of my stuff won't be here until then.
