The first time I ran GTA III on my (back then, and by this stupid country's standards) high-end PC. Naturally I turned the frame limiter off cause Rockstar sucks at porting games to PC, and what happened was every time I walked over a sidewalk or went too fast off a slope Claude would ether die instantly or take a horizontal leap of faith... and die instantly. It was like, death was litteraly waiting around the corner.
There was also that time I got a Dodo in the Staunton Island garage. And before you ask how I got it out: who says I did?

How to install the mods without SAMI: depends on the mod, the authors usually provide instructions with the mod.

Don't the PS3 and 360 cases have slightly different dimensions anyway? If the slips that go inside are also different, then R* just opted to crop the PS3 version a little, you can notice it on every image on the left and right sides.

You do realize graphic designers and the like are the ones who create such artwork, correct? Packaging and all promotional works in general are handled by their art team, who are illustrators, graphic designers, etc.
You may not be familiar with what a "graphic designer" actually is, which is understandable (in no way meant to come off condcending), but it isn't someone who actually designs the graphics of a video game or anything like that. As someone who's been studying graphic design for the past couple years, I can't help but get excited by this kind of stuff. Glad to see they're not ditching the trademark look.
I doubt graphic design has anything to do with that.

You're probably lacking enough memory, back when I still had a crap PC I tried GTA IV with 768 MB of RAM. It generally took between 15 - 25 minutes to load, and once it did it was playable but hardly enjoyable (I had to press Home every 2 - 3 blocks to force-load the next area, the cop AI would only handle up to 3 cops at a time, etc).
It eventually caused a memory clog and forced me to dispose of the 512 MB card (leaving me with only 256 MB of memory). So if that's the case I recomment you stop trying to run GTA IV, you're not mssing much anyway.

Don't think I've ever had a hard drive break, five graphics cards and three CPU's and god knows how man memory cards but never a hard drive. So yeah...
I think there are people who specialize in data recovery in the UK. Data can be recovered from both memory cards and hard drives, unless you raged and stepped on 'em. There aren't any here cause East Europe.

Rockstar put out OFFICIAL as any word that GTA V is expressly dedicated to Xbox360 and Playstation 3 on the Newswire, any and all else is rumor and or flat out untruth. So for the record, I still think it will come to PC, but RAGE and Euphoria are still the key engine underpinnings and attributed to many aspects, INCLUDING graphics

Tun3r, I was in software before you were born, don't even TRY to preach to me or lay claim to what you don't know. I was an APPLE II user since the 70s, and I know first hand about pirated software
Which makes it even more shameful that you don't know anything about it. And cut the "I'm older than you" crap, if you've spent most of those years worshipping GTA (and whatever was before it) then odds are my 5 year old cousin can beat you in any contest. Let me remind you that until the shameful thing that is GTA IV came out, GTA didn't have multiplayer. Rockstar haven't even released anything meaningful about the singleplayer other than the fact that you'll get to play as a homeboy, a deadbeat, and a rat at the same time cause we're Rockstar and we have to do everything differently from everyone else, one single protagonist is so 2004... Anyway yeah, and their conscern is the multiplayer? Fuck's sake.
Sometimes I wish EA had actually bought GTA IV.
