  1. HOLY CRAP! I think that translates to over $100 (US), where are you getting it?

Release price for most next gen games is right around $60 & I think I saw the premium pack for $90 just before the

original release date got pushed back.

Im getting it from Game - http://www.game.co.uk/Xbox360/Action/Shoot...pecial-Edition/

Anyways I don't mind paying that much since I love GTA so much! Plus it will be valuble to get the Special Edition one.

  2. I think he means he hopes it will come on the on the 3rd of March, but it won't it will be released somewhere around April!

Retailers are just guessing, plus don't link your Youtube videos to a topic without explaining your self more.

I think this topic can be locked now!

  3. TV ads are only used after the game is out though, thats what it was like with San Andreas anyway from what I remember. But as you said Chris R* could do another trailer but its unlikely, they haven't before.

I remember the San Andreas game previews on after 11pm here in the uk, and the same with lcs and vcs.

    Channels:

SA - Men and Motors + ITV

LCS - Men and Motors + ITV

    VCS - ITV + ITV 2

    After 11PM

  4. well if there will be a PC version maybe Rockstar Games will make it more harder to mod, because I havent intsalled mods for my SA (yes I am a ex GTA PC Gamer :D) that much, maybe just 4-5.

But I have heard from a mate that GTA SA is more harder to mod than Vice City, I don't know if this is true but maybe IV will be way harder to mod.

  5. Well, I don't believe it, maybe on 49% but on the linked page, i translated it into English using google. And it said this on it:

The release dates of new videos adheres Rockstar Games, however, as cloudy as the release date of the final game.

But I don't think Rockstar Games has said its the final Grand Theft Auto!

    Have they? :(

Or have I just confused myself :)

  6. When GTA IV was delayed in 2007, the UK top game retailers 'Game' changed the release date of GTA IV from 19th October 2007 to TBD 2008, but tonight I went on the Game website typed in GTA IV and its got a release date for GTA IV.

If you don't believe me look for your self.

GTA IV Release Date via 'Game'

And I know with 'Game' they only put up real comfirmed dates for the games and not fake ones.

If this has already been posted im sorry. :D

  7. Take-Two has announced in a conference call that it intends to release more exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV episodes for the XBOX 360 in 2009,

GamesIndustry.biz reports. (We might do some work of our own later. Who knows?)

The company revealed earlier this year that it would be supplying two extra episodes for Microsoft's home console in 2008, but this is the first time it has spoken of extra content beyond the initial deal with Microsoft.

"In fiscal 2009 we'll also be offering additional episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV on Xbox 360," confirmed Ben Feder, CEO of Take-Two.

The publisher also reiterated the full game will be released next year, with two exclusive episodes due before the end of 2008.

"We're eagerly anticipating the release of Grand Theft Auto IV in our second quarter. The game looks terrific and we're confident it will be every bit as ground-breaking as previous titles," added Feder.

  8. Well if it is March I can get it myself since I will be turning 18 :D

But ive heard that the delay is caused because problems with the PS3, if it is, maybe rockstar and take 2 will be kind enough to release the 360 version then the PS3 at a later date, but I don't think they will :(

  9. Microsoft could barely contain its glee at being able to confirm exclusive downloadable content for next year's Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV - but PS3 fans need not fear, as it seems the Sony release is also firmly in line to receive its very own dazzling additions.

According to a source close to Rockstar North, the team is working on exclusive supplemental content for both systems, which will be made available for download via Microsoft and Sony's respective online services after the game's release next year.

In case you missed it, Microsoft revealed at X06 that Xbox 360 owners will get "exclusive access to two downloadable, epic episodes of GTA IV via Xbox Live, each with hours of entirely new gameplay and available only on Xbox 360 just months after the release of the title".

We're told to expect much the same deal on PS3, except unique to the platform. Interestingly, the downloadable content, our source maintains, will take the form of brand new areas which will link into the main GTAIV game world.

"Think of the world as a large island - the new downloadable areas will be like smaller islands linking into it," the source explained. (Which is a structural analogy, rather than a suggestion that the game is set on an island, we hasten to add.)

How many additional areas or episodes Rockstar is planning is anyone's guess at this juncture, but it seems the game is at least being structured to accommodate a number of expansive new content releases in the weeks and months after release, while also satisfying platform holder - and console owner - demand for exclusive material.

Though with 'exclusive' being a somewhat elastic term these days, especially where Grand Theft Auto is concerned, we wouldn't be remotely surprised if you end up playing 'exclusive' 360 episodes on your PS3, and vice versa. One thing's for sure - there's nothing more certain to piss off the fanboys than a level playing field.

No formal response from Rockstar at the time of writing. But, as ever, don't expect official word until they're good and ready.

Grand Theft Auto IV is scheduled to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 in the US on 16th October 2007, with Europe getting hold of it just three days later.
