drsuave
Lo i hav just had the best modding idea, but dont know how to mod. i have check around for any similar mods already in existance, but cant find any. what i wanted to do was to turn all the water in san andreas into concrete. or bitumen. and also to have it perfectly flat. no more falling into water on pc without the cars drive water cheat being included. also, you could head out onto the oceans with a car that has a modified top speed and just go flat out, for as long as you want. anyone who can make this mod is a total legend in my books. cheers drsuave
drsuave
ok this is ridiculous. there have been 28 views on this post and no one has replied. surly it would not be that difficult for an intermediate modder to change the properties of the water into that of the road. even any ideas that i could try or a point to start with would be great. buick4u2nv
its a differnt idea... but IMO the airstrips are long enuf to reach top speeds
drsuave
nah mate not the kind of top speeds i get up to i cover the distance of the san fierro runway in about 4 seconds - i need more space.
QuickDeath
Yeah the idea isnt bad and ive never heard about such mod, theres only this mod (more like a trainer) which lets you to manipulate the level of the water. Too bad im not a modder And i think its not so easy to turn the water into flat concrete cause its wavy.
MrLlamaLlama
A slight map mod would probably do it, just take the ripple magnitude of the water down to zero, then make it solid. ( Just a guess, i'm no modder, but i assume it would go something like this) And dr.suave?... Testing out CFG tweaks?
Urbanoutlaw
I think there's a file called SURFACE.DAT in THE DATA folder. You could probably take the properties of water & replace them w/ concrete. This is just speculation but it's as good a place to start as any. BACKUP THE FILE FIRST!!! Angry Gorilla
Sound's awesome, I downloaded a mod similar to this one but it didn't do anything at all. Although coming to think of it concrete water that has waves would be really awesome.
