Highwire
I got a new computer 2 days ago. Its a Dell. I want to know if my friend got me a good system or not. It always crashes and that sucks but is it a good computer company?
Slyde
Ok.... Just saying the brand doesn't mean it is a crap computer. It is like saying Microsoft sucks because you have a Windows 95. You didn't even post the specs! What kind of retarded topic do you want to make? Your computer shouldn't crash since it's so new unless your friend who bought it for you is also 10 years old. And if Dell is a good brand? Well...
Pandora
Dell is a good brand. But you'll only get a good computer staring from 1600 EUR with Dell. Model name?
Highwire
I think its the Microsoft Windows Millenium Edition. Well thats what it says. Well my moms friend is really cheap and kinda poor but I bet he paid around $250 CAN. Can you get a good Dell from a store for that much?
Pandora
No. ME edition? That kinda sucks dude. So it's basically some second hand garbage.. Go to start, run and type DXdiag and get some system specs. And google superPi. Download it, and run 1M. Then give the score. edit: what is CAN? And why do you get a new computer.... from a friend. You don't get a car as present..

Same here, I've had this computer for around 4 years too and it runs smoothly, except that when I play games, it turns a little laggy as well. Post your system specs if possible. Also, Moved+ to Computer Tech.

Urbanoutlaw
Sounds like your "friend" got off cheap, if it came new w/ Windows ME that wopuld make it 7 years old. Upload your foot to his ass for that one & dump ME for either 98 or XP (pro). I had good luck w/ 98 SE once I ran the latest service packs, was a little pissed when SA required 2000 or newer. What games/apps do you plan to run on it?
