Connor
If GTA IV does come out for PC, it may be too complicated to mod. What does everyone else think about this?
GTA Don
Yeah, it'll probably be like SA V2, unless someone figures out a way to mod GTA IV. Tricky.
Connor
And when someone does find out how to mod it, it might even be too complicated to mod anyway.
JustADummy
Yes, because of the Very High Poly textures and the different formats of animation and files. It will be gta4.omg?
Gerard
Why would it be too complicated? Although the engine is new, should still be the same sort of process to mod. Models are fairly standard things, and it just depends which filetype IV wants it in. You never know, they might make it easier to mod (unlike GTASA), since they know that's what the community love. However if they do this, they could restrict the types of mod that are easy to do. For example, to add a new car, just drag the file into a particular folder and it will auto-detect it - that's how many other games do it. So they could make car modding easy, but prevent "hacks" and scripting (to stop hot coffee happening again)
Connor
Well, being a very big and detailed game...It might be a little hard.
