Jezz Torrent
i had to ask this question, cuz i wanna see how everyone else feels about the soundtrack in my opinion, its awful i expected it to be the best soundtrack yet, and even the gta3 sountrack was better than this one i was thinking since its 2007 i would hear many songs ive heard. nope, not a single song on the track listing that i recognized soooooooo disappointing. Urbanoutlaw
Getting new music was one of the things R* wanted to do do in GTA4. Radio Vladivostok (spelling?) could use some Leningrad Cowboys but there's a variety & I spend a lot of time just surfing the radio stations. Liberty Rock is full of stuff I grew up listening to. R* - Get Leningrad Cowboys for DLC!
the_dude420
Seeing as I skipped San Andreas, which I hear had the best soundtrack of all the games, I find this soundtrack better than the 1st and 2nd. However I am not blown away by the tracks they have. However I love Bob Marley and I am glad they put him on there.

Chris
There's a number of songs I recognise but not too many. IMO it will take some getting used to due to the amount of unknown music, but I think it all fits in great with the whole atmosphere of the game, especially Vladivostok. It's definitely better than GTA3's unknown music soundtrack I reckon. That said, I'm not actually sure if I prefer it to well known music like Vice City or San Andreas, both those games, especially Vice City, had the best soundtracks I've ever heard for any game or even movie.
