inhumanform
How do I edit the car exportboard? What file(s) and where to find em? It's a real bitch to find the cars when they have other names...

JustADummy
Only editing the textures, but that would be a lot of hard work.

Urbanoutlaw
BACK UP EVERY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT!!! To edit the boards themselves you need an IMG editor, open GTA3.IMG in your MODELS folder & search through. The names will be recognizable. When you find them, use EXPORT to pull them out to your desktop. From there use TXD WORKSHOP (or similar) to extract the texture for editing w/ Windows Paint or graphics program of your choice. This will take of your needs if you want to change the names on the boards to match cars you've installed. If you want to edit the lists of cars you need to find (for example you want to add a Clover to a list) You have to open MAIN.SCR & find the export missions. You'll have to wade into about 550,000 lines of code. From here you can replace a car (like Sabre) w/ your Clover or add it to a list (Making it 11 cars). Once done w/ that, go back to the TXD for that list & edit it accordingly.

inhumanform
@ urbanoutlaw. Thanx for the enormous amount of info. Although I just want to edit the names on the board, so I need to know what the damn TXD is called I searched numerous times, but I just can't find it. Anyone? chris82
Map Tool. Use it to explore San Andreas and make your way to the export board, there you can click on the the board and it will tell you the .txd to edit. However, this will likely not work as some signs in San Andreas have are written to with code...I believe you'll only be able to edit the sign background and not the writing on it, you'll have to edit the code for that...which is even harder. My advice is to change the names back and use a car spawner to spawn all the cars next to you for easy delivery.
Blacklisted
I think it was the idea of inhumanform to have the names be custom and easy to remember, besides what fun is it to just spawn the car and deliver.
Urbanoutlaw
In VC the export boards had the names added in the TXD & I edited them w/ Windows Paint, I expect SA to be similar. Chris82 - Thanks for the link to the map tool, that should be a little quicker/easier than manually digging through GTA3.IMG.
