Charger
You can just insert the SA disc, and the option reinstall will appear.
MrLlamaLlama
San Andreas is still in the registry, methinks. Make sure the entire folder is deleted, claim if back from your recycle bin if possible, and try again.
KilluminatiTheDon
yea i think its still in the registry and when i insert the disk it just says on the menu "play GTA: SAN ANDREAS". there is an option to uninstall but it gives the same error message as before. Connor
Well, you should delete traces of it from your registry, but be VERY careful while doing so.

Charger
You can erase the game by going to your C drive in "My Computer" >> Program Files>>Rockstar Games>>GTA San Andreas. Delete the SA folder.

GTA Don
Download CCleaner and clean your registry. Or try installing the game on another account and copy the contents to a shared folder.
WRX22B1998
^ That may or may not work, the installing on different account part. But yeah you could try install on another (admin) account. Otherwise if you have another computer at all, then install on that, burn the folder from program files onto a DVD+R (assuming you have a DVD-/+RW) or you can put it on a external hard disk and transfer it over. OR if your pc's are networked, then copy it over like that.
