MrLlamaLlama
www.direct2drive.com Just search there for san andreas. If you're having modding issues, though, what exactly are they? The solution could be alot simpler and cheaper than buying another version of the game!

Huckleberry Pie
Have you tried doing a clean reinstall of the game? And you still have to purchase it when you dload it at Direct2Drive or Steam, besides the fact that the latter versions don't support modding. ProdegyKid
i've reinstalled twice even without modding that happens
MrLlamaLlama
Have you ever been able to run the game? Have you checked that your PC meets the specs? Have you, after reinstalling, gone into your program fuiles, and deleted the GTA SA folder? (Windows is a bit lazy, and leaves a few files behind) -> Make sure you delete the SA user files too, as the gta.set holds all your settings, and can sometimes get a bit picky after reinstalls. Have you used any no-cd or downgrader patches for your game? These replace the .exe file, which is the piece that's failing.
Spaz The Great
Yeah, if you've used any type of mod that replaces the gtasa.exe, always make a back up of the file first. Sometimes they are bunk, or only work with certain versions, etc.
