Meshy
Video Card: 256MB You do not meet the requirements of your graphics card.If you still wish to run it then here: http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/topic/20760-how-to-bypass-gta-iv-memory-restrictions/ Just don't blame if you get a blue screen or your system overheats. amazingdude
Use the series 9 graphics card from nvidia and try to increase your RAM a little bit say upto 4GB but i doubt it will run on a pentinum 4 CPU as GTA IV needs the minimum speed of a core 2 duo or higher processor. Meshy
As said, you would have to upgrade your PC which would be quite more expensive. Unless you really want to play GTA IV with minimal lag then buy the parts. I suggest using a Console, unless you are really adapted to the PC keyboard and mouse. And you should always check you can run the game before you buy it.

Huckleberry Pie
You should upgrade your direct x to version 11 or 9.0c Yes, and no. No because GTA IV only uses DX9. What video card can i use then ? or how can i make it larger ? In my case, at least a GT240 will do the trick, but on low-medium depending on the processor. Like what the others said, you need a new and more capable computer to run IV, especially since you're going for multiplayer. I think a mid to high-range Core i5 or i7 is good enough processor-wise. Couple it up with at least a 1GB GT240 (or better yet, a 450 or 550TI if you want a more solid config), and 4GB RAM or more.
Meshy
You should upgrade your direct x to version 11 or 9.0c Do you have the download links? Dude. You have no clue about how your computer graphics card works. You can't download DirectX or update it to a new version if your graphics card cannot support it. It is included in a graphics card update. And dude, I don't even know why I am helping you, it's been days and you haven't posted anything but in this topic. If you want any more help, get off this topic and post in others and come back. Not just ' I'll get help off these guys and then I'm never going to use my forum account again' as your profile says, your nobody special. I mean your just using the community to solve your problems and probably will just leave.
