We pronounce it as "nang", like in "Sagisag ng Pilipinas" ("Symbol of the Philippines"). Tagalog has a similar grammar structure to English and Malay, as far as I know. Our ancestors used an ancient alphabet long before Magellan and his spice boys crashed the party, and we eventually used the Roman alphabet for writing stuff... actually we had some five or more scripts being used in our country before the europeans arrived, all of these originated from India via what we call today Indonesia. So since Malay/Indonesian languages are related to the Philippine languages, then their scripts are also intelligible. And I read somewhere, that Malay was used to be the language in trade in our country before the spaniards arrived, thats why we had tons of words borrowed from the Malay and Indonesian languages... but it is unknown to most of the Filipinos.
