make sure frame limiter is set to ON in the options. some people have said with dual core processors it runs weird (i think it was AMD dual core) so go to task manager and then processes then right click gta-vc.exe and click set affinity, and check only 1 box if neither of those fix the problem, try running without the trainer. if it still doesnt work, reinstall.

yeah it could be that, however Im still running 8.0 i dont have any problems. yeah when it says to restart, you have to restart (click start->turn off-> restart) i remember someone had this problem because they thought restart was same as shutdown and turn on later... :S the easiest way to fix it is probably just uninstall and then get the new version though

you didnt put any mods in it yet did you? if you put any main.scm (script) mods it will crash it with the save games you get from here. umm another thing to try is delete the gta_sa.set in the "GTA San Andreas User Files" folder which will be in My Documents (or Documents or whatever the f vista wants to call it)

umm in the settings, you can check the boxes for what resolution (480i,480p etc) that you want to use, so just check 480p and 1080i and leave the rest unchecked... lol just noticed how old this topic is.
