Well, I got my Xmas money, for real, and went on an eBay parts auction shopping spree, so even though I got billed the other day for Xbox Live (it's now automated since I initiated a payment electronically via Xbox dashboard last year) I've been off the system to play PS3, and not the old 360 or GTAOnline
What that means is I've pretty much been taking a hiatus from gaming on PS3 and Xbox, but I successfully assembled two PS3 systems completely which both suffered from needed new optical drives, and couldn't be happier about that, spent no more then $75 on each and they work like new!
My other projects were gaming laptops for the new generation of PC games, still behind current tech, but getting some decent hardware for sure!
I agree that this is better then Beach Bum, but it could also point to the truth that Rockstar haven't been resting on their laurels .... They promised new and exciting additions in 2014, and the year has JUST begun, folks!
It takes time to build quality....anything!

To avoid the same confusion as before, in the GTA4 topic, you're referring to Hot Coffee as originally appeared within San Andreas as an adult mini-game? According to Jacked, it was Sam Houser's idea and/or intent to have Hot Coffee come out without regard of the ratings board in the USA, and of course, the ratings effect games and other media differently World wide.
The book Jacked is somewhat unsubstantiated because all non bias negative press against Rockstar was ignored and a lot of what fans even pose in question to Rockstar Games directly will remain unanswered. They're more guarded of their 'empire' then perhaps, ever before.
The reason is as I stated previously, Rockstar are the 'black sheep' in video gaming. They've been outsiders since the company revamped from DMA origins.

As I understand it, I think Sam had been open to offering two versions perhaps, and catering to an unrated and MATURE version, even though M or Mature qualifies most games in the USA for adult purchase.
They obviously denied any connection since it was attempted to be hidden once SA came out officially

Found a nice interview giving insight to UFO upon release of their last Seven Deadly successful album.
This was some time ago, in September of 2013, reports from several sites said Pete Way of UFO had Prostate Cancer, which he's battling with kind words from fans, last report from January 4th of this year. He says a new album is in mixing stages for release later this year, Walking On The Edge.

I have the PC version, but it demanded more PC resources then GTA IV PC version. I imagine you're referring to Social Club software linking local installs with the online.
You don't need to actually engage Social Club to play a localized game (offline most times), the main reason to have SC software included is for Multiplayer when available and to share the stats with other SC members

Not only did Philip Seymour Hoffman succumb and relapse to a former hard drug addiction that ended his life earlier today... but we lost living legend Hollywood veteran Maximilian Schell. Oddly, not long ago I was watching End of the Game in which he directed, early in the 1970s and featuring a young Jon Voight.
Maybe you remember The Black Hole film as a kid. As Star Wars did what it set out to do and inspired more big screen sci fi films

Last bit of news I saw said he got released and allowed back in the USA, not extradited back to Canada, where he belongs....but some of his celeb fans think he better get some help, we just lost two more Hollywood legends, not to suggest he's in their league, he's a YouTube phenom, not much more! hahaha

The OP as in Original Poster needs his chance to expound on why and what he's posting, don't bother trying to defend your argument since I explained myself and there's simply no need to go on with this. Consider the matter settled. Trying to pick apart all of my posting is creating an air of inhospitality. That's something I'm not trying to solicit, but it seems you certainly have it in your head to do so, from the postings you made rather then admitting my comments about modding as it stands in reality are correct as well. Hot Coffee is a Rockstar mini sex game hidden within GTA San An. That is again, FACT. I'm right about the facts surrounding it. Patrick Wildenberg's mod software reverses the revised editions I believe or unlocked the original, I'm a little unclear on that historically, but if you're a long time fan of GTA, you'll remember store shelves becoming devoid of San Andreas as Rockstar was forced to pull retail copies as they originally shipped.
What was written to unlock the second edition is also referred to as a mod. The way I see it and still do, unless you think a better term applies

Now are we talking digital download LEGIT software copy you can register legitimately with Rockstar Games?
You know even if you buy the actual game as released, you can uninstall from one PC or laptop and reinstall elsewhere, for a number of times, within the copyright protection EULA

I'm proof you can live without GTAForums, (for 9 years a former member!) and since their staff are so close minded and rather malicious, it can be a far less stressful situation avoiding them. There's more GTA friendly comments and questions on YouTube. I've heard plenty of complaints about YouTube, but ultimately I feel my experience with YouTube is overall reinforcing my opinion of how great that site is overall.
I don't know the 100% aspects of GTA V yet, since I stopped playing for a bit. I've seen the markings while navigating the map, and my feeling is things you find as markings and writings are in the same style Rockstar have used artistically in Red Dead Redemption. Plenty of funny remarks found throughout, part of the mission aspect is finding parts of a UFO most people know by now, so having some form of unexplainable UFO presence, or proof of their appearance on 'planet Earth' in the GTA universe of course....it's part of making the game World, puzzle, clue or not, I doubt Rockstar will explain these things, but perhaps the GTAwiki that's been up and around for some years, they DO try and explain such things when possible
Even RDR dabbles in ghost and haunting theories, some real, some imagined, but it's overall atmospheric. So what I would tend to think is a possible "red herring" might exist in a GTA or Rockstar game, as they do in films

I am not commenting on a USER mod, outside of the mod to unlock Hot Coffee originally. My mistake was not knowing the relation to GTA IV, initially I mentioned it might have been posted incorrectly.

Let it go at that, I'm responding in facts for the benefit of any reader, since I read a topic about GTA like any other forum reader, my perception is expressed in my response, I feel I have more background based on the actual games and the company from my many years of gaming, so that is the rational behind my response and original posting.
Don't engage to enrage, there's no need for heated exchange OR argumenatative stance with this topic or any other.
The problem with GTAForums is a near complete lack of respect for other gamers, so I won't indulge in that any further.
Patrick is a well respected member of GTAForums for the main reason I mentioned him, he and he alone unearthed Hot Coffee in 2005 with his mod, made it available to unlock the hidden mini game code.
He's a modder of GTA, that's what you must acknowledge

With the horrendous cold air outside, I'll be jumping back into GTA myself, I've been offline and off gaming to enjoy my full cable TV subscription, the first time I have subscribed since the 1990s. In 2000 I just had so much disdain for what happened to music TV, and now we have AXS TV and Palladia adding much needed options, but along with that I also get Encore movie channels, Sundance channel, etc. At a cost, however, all our entertainment adds up, sad to say, it's not cheap.
I think my RP was at zero for a long time, and rather a confusing stat, if you do more then the in-map free-roam of sorts, but for some reason, I always find Multiplayer freeroam the most alluring, a big part of it is not having to wait in lobbies when you'd rather just play as long as you're connected!

Yeah, it's in the teens below zero, with 25 MPH wind gusts, that means the wind chill on top of the North American invasion Polar Vortex means 45 below zero is the effect of the USA temps on your skin, so dangerous for young kids, schools here are closed yet again nearly all State-wide. It looks like further below zero days perhaps beyond January will be still in the arctic freezer! I hate it, wanted only that this winter would be above zero degrees, but of course, this trend seems to span several years. Our normal temp is about 25F according to local news, but our whole January average amounts to 10F above zero. In New York, they're about 11F degrees today, Thursday as they host the Today show on NBC outdoors. I want them to know it COULD be worse, but we get the snow returning, 2 inches or so, on a 30 degree Friday, the hottest it will be for the next upcoming week!
We're likely to add to what could be a record cold winter all in all!!

Justin Bieber was arrested down in Florida for drag racing, a friend's Lamborghini since he apparently lacked his own?!?!
Anywho, after recently losing Paul Walker in a high speed exotic, apparently Beebs missed the importance of playing it safe, take your need for speed to a local raceway and do any auto racing with the highest regard for safety. He can afford to where as most street racers likely don't have the resources, spending all their available funds on their street racing cars.
Fast and Furious films popularity and of course, racing games that continue to sell well with video gaming kids and adults, it's not surprising that high speed cars are a clear point of interest that could lead to such illegal activity in the real World.
To me, seems like an inevitability since The Beebs isn't really maturing too well. Why I have to endure further YouTube music comments mentioning him in this day and age is beyond me, but it shows his prevalence in the teen or youth world.
His high profile arrest and it's outcome will hopefully impress upon the kids who idolize him not to follow in such footsteps

Just to point out a final word about the two systems I repaired, in the last one, an 80Gigabyte model PS3, I bought the entire BD BluRay enclosure WITHOUT it's logic board, all cables were included but unconnected, in that case I used the former board and it revived the system completely, in the prior repair, the system was a 40 Gig, and I can't recall if the replacement drive was the exact same, but swapping the logic board didn't do any good, so it worked to have that board included with the eBay item.
It's best to have that available option, so if you buy without the original logic board, it may become an issue if like my earlier Playstation, a complete drive actually worked with a direct "drop in" plug and then play simplicity! It worked as I needed it to for both restorations.
I bought the second PS3 within the moment of finding it for offer of $30 dollars. When you consider here at least, used PS3s are now falling below $150 used since the release of PS4, in local pawnshops, items like the Kinnect unit for Xbox and the PSVita without successor are still falling in normal price they're offered for. Something to keep an eye on if you're a tech holdout for any reason, and most likely due to cost of a new system

Actress Carrie Fisher let slip (CNN story) that Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are being tapped to start shooting JJ Abram's take on Star Wars, starting up another episode that begins filming in a few months from now, so we'll keep you apprised of all that, but you gotta be excited the original star cast will return in so many years to present an older, wiser take on the same characters it seems! According to the news, Carrie Fisher wants her old hair style that made her character so famous, her iconic hair bun, but in white to represent her age and perhaps a more regal appearance, they created something of a Photoshop image I believe. I hope George Lucas and some of the staff respected for their original magic help out to make sure this comes off better then the new Star Trek, it's more revered in the annals of Sci Fi!

The truth is largely what I believe makes up the story of GTA and Rockstar within the book Jacked, it's only real critique was issues of the own Houser's device, that is to grant fewer and fewer interviews in recent years in which to quote from the horses' mouth so to speak.
Why focus on Rockstar over user mods? You seem to think I'm touching on things not related and off-topic. I say, clearly, WRONG. Mod is short for Modification I'll remind you.
Hot Coffee I'll also remind you, yet again, not an original user mod to GTA IV, it clearly existed BEFORE GTA 4, that's fact, it's truth, and there's no argument anyone, including you, can devise to say otherwise.
This is wholly why I contest you arguing for legitimacy here.
Patrick Wildenberg, excuse me if I got the spelling wrong at the moment, but PatrickW (his current online user name at GTAForums) is the programmer who unearthed and RESTORED Hot Coffee with his Mod, it made him somewhat infamous in the process, even he didn't want the controversy to include him in the swarm of press that came about, it effected everyone involved, right up to Dan and Sam Houser.
I'm not talking about ANYTHING to come in years following those two discoveries, so that's that. Don't bother trying to discount me further, I'm right, here, there's no false truth in what I said about Hot Coffee.
Now if some user created the same title "mod", that's too bad, really, because you should never ride someone else's coat-tails, and use their mod work to gain notoriety for you own!!
Patrick's work is labeled a MOD, though not to enhance gaming, it reverts the coding used to hide the minigame originally. He is a user, a gamer, and he comes from the same school of knowledgeable coders who device game enhancements, so again, you can't argue he's not a modder, it's again an untruth!

Yes, you're right, I'm wrong, there's a Mod, but that doesn't mean jack shite when I'm referring to the original hidden sex game that no USER or GAMER added, Rockstar Games STAFF added, and was denied by the Housers and official statements, yet it existed, the mod was done to reveal the hidden sex game. Please do try and keep your ego out of this.
PatrickW I may remind you is a staff member of GTAforums, however, I disavow all knowledge of that site, bad blood still exists, but lemme say, READ that BOOK "Jacked" by all means

Hey all, great news reported on my Playstation 3 project, the drive arrived only slightly messed up with the metallic screw cover on incorrectly, but I added my original circuit board this time and the unit works again like the last, played Uncharted 2 and Red 2 the BluRay movie on it without any hassles.
What this comes to in total dollars is $70 bux!! You too can save a pretty penny on a repair if the two missing parts show up, it's all a matter of judicious luck!

Fan made is JUST NOT THE SAME as Hot Coffee as defined by historical significance, and that's what I'm driving at and the place I'm coming from.
If I don't know about all fan based mods, that's totally reasonable, I'm a CONSOLE player and owner firstly and foremost, but I'll tell you, I don't shy away from the PC versions. The problem remains that Rockstar under the auspices of the Housers will not cater to PC first, and as such, any PC versions will fall short the optimization mark, until the day they have a crack PC team of programmers in-house

Why would there be any HC in GTA 4? You do know there was never official announcement of it, and it was a major source of consternation for the company.... Now if modders made something completely their own, that's another story.
And, BTW, avoid Internet shorthand where ever possible, since I've no idea what you're talking about, as such.

I upgraded HDDs in PS3 and have used both USB and HDD at the same time with GTA 5 on both systems, sharing user account off USB, but install the game to HDD, best option on the table, period. Also for PS3, GTA 5 installed on new HDDs but once set up, my user data seemed to be moved from the systems I have to the new HDD once setup, this seems really strange.
Beyond user control but part of my experiments with PS3 repairs, I'm now awaiting a new CECHK01 drive to complete my second PS3 currently, and I did have to install GTA on the new drive as well as firmware off Sony's site via USB, needed for this particular system but despite that, it still restored the main accounts I had on my PS3.

My friend personally sent me the unlock mod for Hot Coffee, all you do is run the application after GTA SA is installed, no technical user mod above running the app on top of a previous GTA install is needed, I'd look for that patch to run instead, I don't know where it would be hosted online presently though, so some sort of cloud based storage would be a good idea, the patch is not large, in the regard of whether it would be difficult or not.
You posted this in and mentioning GTA 4, let's be clear, there is ABSOLUTELY NO GTA 4 mod for HC

I have bought my own USED copy of GTA IV but haven't installed it just yet, I do plan to do that ASAP now I am getting TWO gaming laptops up and running in the past month (upcoming as well)
I don't do much online gaming other then PSN and XBL console though, so I suspect Social Club tied into GTA IV is part of your concern. I mentioned the key thing is sharing stats cross-platform, whether running the game or not you can use Rock's SC to keep up with all GTA gamers too
