I plugged in my PS2 in place of the PS3, so have been playing through the old classics like Unreal Tournament, Vice City, Hitman etc. Splinter Cell is on the screen in the other room ATM. If I could force myself to do it, I'd try an offline PS3 game without trophy support to see if that works but I don't want to mess anything else up in the process. I'll just hold off until the all clear is given.

I received a sweet 32 inch HDTV yesterday as a birthday gift from my parents, and everything looks so amazing in 1080P. We already have 2 other HDTVs but to have one in my bedroom is fantastic. At first I had a lag issue with the action on screen, but I changed the settings easily via the PS3, shortened the screen to how it should be and it works perfectly now. Worked it out all on the first day, too. I haven't tried watching a Blu Ray on it yet, but I'm sure it'll be amazing.

So I tried to play MW2 yesterday, but it said the trophies couldn't be registered and it quit the game. I was worried, but it was too late to Google for an answer, until today. My advice to you is, don't play a game with trophy support until the patch is released otherwise you might lose your trophies. I don't think I've lost them, but they're not showing up for MW2 currently. Come to think of it, leave your PS3 OFF. The bug will kick in as soon as your fat PS3 is turned on so leave it alone. Crack out the old PS2 if you still have it, watch some films, dvd boxsets, whatever. Tomorrow might fix the issue, because the internal clock will surely recognise it as a valid date and so things should mostly be back to normal.

A few games mags are saying this can beat MW2 for the online content, although I haven't played it yet. I'm personally holding out for Medal of Honor, because Dice are handling the multiplayer side of that game as well.

Not sure if I'll prestige again for a while, I just want to improve my K/D to what it was before I went on a poor run. It's 1.97 currently, and it used to be over 2 so that's my first target. Spawning and then dying about 10 seconds later is happening frequently now, mainly with the Predator missiles which always go to me, and the Chopper Gunner. I need about another 7 ranks before I hit level 70, and then after that the AK will take over. That will help me rise my K/D, it has to be the best gun. As much as I like the ACR, the AK is instant death.

It's just good to see a back and forth conversation around here, for once lol. Not many of them around these days. I actually thought Fallout 3 was pretty good, there were an awful lot of flaws which I'll mention in a sec, but generally the story moved along nicely, there was a nice amount of freedom in levelling up your character so you're strong enough for later battles, choosing the right skill points involved a lot of thought and planning ahead, etc, and having a follower made it feel more welcoming. There's a massive amount of choice in terms of dialogue, and many random encounters that I'm still discovering. When you reach level 30, you're practically a god. On my main save I have over 500 stimpacks and 80,000 caps, but not a lot left to do now other than scavenge for stuff I don't need. I would discuss more positive points, and there are lots, but the negatives really need to be fixed. The frame rate at times was virtually unplayable, especially on the GOTY edition on PS3. I haven't explored all of Point Lookout because the PS3 keeps freezing, and it happens to every PS3 playing the GOTY, not just mine. Just poor programming. You can get out of the map in some places on the console, and run around in open space and see underneath buildings and stuff like that. You'd get stuck in the most stupid places, I got stuck on the side of a metal pole, suspended in mid air during Broken Steel, I recorded a small video of it on my handheld. I got stuck on Moiras bed in Megaton while trying to pick up something, stuck underneath some rubble somehow in a random building, and several others. Occasional problems with Trophies and Achievements registering, like if you discover a certain location before completing a quest. Sometimes the voice dialogue is muted and the dialogue skips really fast so you can't read what's happening, which was actually handy for me when doing the infinite SMG cheat.

If you experiment offline with your same online classes, you can test the distance you can use the SPAS 12 silenced at, instead of getting cut down in a public game. I do that sometimes when I move onto a new weapon for a bit. I haven't played this in a while now, but the news of the DLC is exciting me. Don't know why I haven't posted it here. I will do, but my internet connection is kicking me ATM. 544 errors. I will edit this soon, once it's restarted for the 3rd time in a row. That's why I sign out on PSN a lot then sign back in 2 mins later, I have to restart and reconnect. OK, so. The rumours are, and a lot of people are saying this is true, that there'll be 4 maps from COD4, as well as 5 or 6 new maps for the game. The COD4 maps are Overgrown, Vacant, Shipment and Crash. This made me laugh from him. BTW, I'm using Scavenger Pro on and off. I'm using a Claymore as my equipment slot, and it's fantastic. Every time you run over a corpse you re-stock, so you can plant like 10 claymores around the map and hide somewhere, great fun. I get between 4-8 claymore kills a game by doing that. I use the silenced SCAR with that.

I've never seen someone use the care package exploit yet, but I DO see people using Marathon, Lightweight and Commando while holding it and getting ridiculous knife kills. I've done it a few times and it's boring, you get shot down by those dual shotguns anyway. I'm using the ACR a hell of a lot now. I use the Thermal sight on Wasteland, with Cold Blooded, so easy to sneak behind large groups and knife a few of them. Some of my classes: ACR, Red Dot, Silencer G18, Red Dot, Silencer Bling Pro Cold Blooded Sitrep Painkiller FAMAS, ACOG, Silencer SPAS 12, Grip, Silencer Bling Pro Cold Blooded Ninja Pro Martyrdom W2000 SOH Pro M93 Raffica Cold Blooded Ninja Pro Final Stand Also, I'm playing well again. One thing that did piss me off though, was when I had about 34 kills and 6 deaths on Karachi. Some asshole left the game, and so it was reconnecting to a new host. When I reconnect, because I was having a lot of lag, I end up with no kills or deaths, and no XP earned. It would have raised my K/D to 1.99 as well.

I think I've found the perfect Killstreak rewards for me. It's 7 for the Harrier, which usually gets shot down, 9 for the Pave Low, which is trickier if there's that and the Harrier out at the same time, and either Chopper Gunner or AC130 for 11. I'm getting all of those quite a lot now, most recently on Highrise. I'm not sure if I'll bother unlocking the Nuke in future any more, I know that realistically I'll probably never get it, so I'll stick with achievable Killstreaks. I'm level 47 on prestige 2, I just want the ACR ASAP, it's probably the 2nd best gun in the game behind the AK. I'm using the SPAS-12 a lot more now, I'm abusing it, essentially. You can kill someone from quite a distance with it, 1 shot. It needs to be patched for sure, but I'm enjoying it for now. I'm using Marathon when I use it. Also, even with Cold Blooded and a silencer, it's still a 1 hit kill. I can't imagine how much people get pissed off by it, but I don't care.

This site is fine for me now, about a week ago I couldn't get on but seems OK currently. As long as the server move keeps the speed consistently high then that's fine. EDIT: NEW problem. What's with the MAG advert appearing over where the preview and post reply buttons are? I can't close it either, WTF.

I didn't expect this at all, it's a very nice surprise to log on to. I'll definitely buy this, I haven't got CTW so far for PSP, doesn't really appeal, but this looks really great fun. I don't care how old the game is, PS3 owners should look forward to buying it.
