  1. It's much easier to pirate it on the 360 and PC because of the DVD format it's in, but because of the PS3 Blu-Rays, it's a lot harder to copy. He probably means it's either a good thing for 360 owners because they get to play the full version, or a bad thing for PS3 owners because we can't play it yet. Just have some patience, there's a week to go. You've waited for months so far, another week won't kill you. BTW, I saw the terrorist gameplay as well. It's skippable, so you don't have to play it. You can skip the mission, so you don't have to play it. Of course, there's outrage from the gameplay, from many different sources.
  2. Link doesn't work so I presume it's been taken down. BTW, there's so many gameplay videos online of it now, I've lost count. They're all fucking cheating faggots. I despise anyone here who has DLed the game illegally and is playing online with it. I hope you get banned from PSN or Live for life.
  3. That's mad, I thought GTA4 you'd have finished it at least once. MGS4 is great, I'd like to play through it again, but preferably with trophies. You get to see Major Zero from MGS3, it's a strange ending. COD4 I understand, you haven't had it that long. But seriously, finish it before MW2 is out, it's a superb game. I'm playing nothing at the moment, but I expect to be playing the Fallout 3 GOTY for PS3 within 2 hours, because I'll buy it within an hour. I'll trade in Killzone 2 and COD World At War as well, bored of them.
  4. ^ Lucky you. Crushing is always difficult, I find it difficult anyway. Other people find it easy, but maybe I'm just too used to FPSes to acclimatise. I'm struggling through on Crushing on the original, I just need to beat the game for my first Platinum. Ditto for Uncharted 2, I need to finish it on Hard and then Crushing for potentially a 2nd Platinum trophy.
  5. Nice, mang. Better than my attempt. I'll make a batch tonight, and upload them.
  6. No, but I suspect with all the dickheads on Youtube revealing everything from single player walkthroughs to the weapon loadouts and multiplayer maps, it won't be long until they do. Might already be on Youtube, I haven't looked. BTW, ahead of the release, there will be a full leaderboard reset, which means those of you out there who got your hands on the game either legitimately via a shop, which shouldn't even be selling the game or allowing it to be played or even looked at, or via an online torrent, which is obviously illegal, you won't have any advantage at all. All your stats will be reset.
  7. I think the internal one might be good, but again, I haven't watched any videos for that yet. I might just go with Dazzle, and then either in the future get an internal one, or buy a DVD recorder and record from that onto a DVD, then burn onto the PC.
  8. Activision know how to squeeze money out of people, for sure. I think the Tony Hawk skateboard thing is a step too far. And TM, got a link to the Russian vid? EDIT: The full killstreak list has been revealed, and if you're godly enough to get a 25 kill streak (I have a 26 or 29 killstreak on COD4), then you can unleash a Tactical Nuke on the map, which I guess will kill every opponent and destroy some of the buildings: The list was confirmed on a Youtube video which has since been removed. EMP sounds great, reminds me of The Matrix. I think if you get the Nuke and then use it, you win the match, regardless of the score. It's just a rumour, but cast your minds back to a video leaked a week or two ago, when the soldiers all leave the battlefield. That might be the one with the Nuke. I hope not, it would be annoying if that happened.
  9. It actually only comes with COD1, you don't get COD2 with it. You get a code to download COD1 online, an artbook, a steel case version of the game, the night vision goggles, a head to display them on, and the manual. Do you think it's really worth getting? It's hugely overpriced. I pre-ordered the standard edition months ago. I bought the standard edition of GTA4 as well, so don't see any need to buy a special edition with things I don't want. You can bet the artbook will be on Ebay for a tiny cost within weeks of the games launch, and the goggles might be on Ebay as well, once the novelty wears off. On launch day, PSM3 will have a review of MW2 in their mag released that day, as well as online presumeably. I think other mags will release their reviews online, but not in physical form - it'll be towards end of November when their reviews come out. PSM3 rushed out the latest mag, and they've got a short deadline for the next one with the MW2 review. Shows they're dedicated at least.
  10. Uncharted 2, still. On Chapter 22 on my Hard playthrough, should have the Hard trophy within the next 2 to 3 days, and then onto Crushing.
  11. I'm pretty sure Vice City will be the next game. I think Rockstar will make a new Vice City, then San Andreas after that, and then a completely new storyline, with a new city(s) and no returning characters. Then they could build another series of games and just continue from there. The 2 ideas ^ up there, the most likely is the Paris one, the VC one doesn't work as well.
  12. None of them, I use Tiscalis e-mail, which is the ISP I'm with.
  13. Anyone have any songs they've made on the Beaterator game, the free one on PC? http://www.beaterator.com/beaterator.html I made one earlier today, my 1st attempt at it. I might buy the full game for PSP if I get interested enough. Anyway, if you have any, upload them onto a site. If no-one else bothers to post creations, then I'll occasionally post new ones I make. I'll be uploading mine to Zshare, because it's easy to upload to and you can either download it, or listen to it before downloading it - http://www.zshare.net/ The great thing about it is, I now have the song as an MP3 on my iTunes, which I find mindblowing. I want to make loads of new songs now. Anyway, my first attempt - http://www.zshare.net/audio/67604324733ea7df/
  14. Too bad that you didn't look to pre-order a few months back, you would have saved at least £15, depending where you got it from, of course. I've said numerous times I pre-ordered from Tesco Entertainment, but the thing is they take your cash straight away, rather than taking it when the game is dispatched. But i know it's in safe hands. £35 from their site, it's now £45 there. 2 bits of news. There's a 3rd person mode in the game, which is a new playlist, eg like Team Deathmatch. One of them will be called 3rd person, which could be interesting: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=226110 And some news for the PC gamers, even though it looks like no-one will get it on PC, but anyway. The game will have Steam Cloud support, as well as Achievements, of which there are 50. *ahem* Yeah, sure. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=226014
  15. Yeah, sucks for me. I can only imagine what Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 would look like in HD. Anyway, I think I know a bit more about this now. I might get a standard Dazzle capture card, I don't want anything flash at the moment. I just want a basic set-up so that, if and when I need to upgrade, eg with a HDTV, expensive capture card, etc, then I'll be ready for it. I think I need these below: 3 of these - splitters, for the cables - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gold-plated-splitter-plug-sockets/dp/B000L980MU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1223757292&sr=8-1 A Belkin Pro Series Audio Cable - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Audio-Cable-Triple-Yellow/dp/B0002AFT9A/ref=pd_bxgy_ce_text_b An AV cable, but I think you get those as standard with the PS3, right? And obviously the Dazzle itself - http://www.amazon.co.uk/8230-10063-01-DAZZLE-DVD-Recorder/dp/B001918NLC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1223757466&sr=1-3 Like I said, a basic set-up to begin with, because this is my first attempt at this. After I get used to recording and uploading, I'll upgrade to some heavy duty stuff. Let me know if I'm right/wrong. Although I did get those links from a walkthrough on Youtube, so it should be right.
  16. Seems like this is the best place to ask. I want to record gameplay from my PS3, and I'm getting bored of using my digital camera, then trying and failing to convert the file to a format that Youtube accepts, then repeatedly pressing 'try again' after the upload fails time after time. I just want nice, simple, advice about what capture card is best for PS3, how you set it up to work, and any issues that may come from setting it up. The only issue I suspect I'll have is that my PC is in a different room to my PS3, so if I need to connect a cable up, it won't be long enough and I would need an extension cable of some sort. I've looked through the net for advice, and there's no real walkthrough to help you with it. It says I need a splitter, which I haven't heard of before, and an AV cable, but that comes as standard with the PS3, doesn't it? It's plugged in all the time so you can see what you're playing, right? I saw a very cheap capture thing on Amazon.co.uk for under £2, called Ez Capture, but I'm confused about where the recorded gameplay would go. Is it stored on the actual device, is there a hard drive in the USB thing I'm using? Or does it have to be connected to the PC, which is probably out of reach for me? Would I need another device to connect to the capture card, which then goes to my computer? How would the capture card reach around the back of my PS3, and then into the back of my TV, which is on a shelf above the PS3, or even the PC as well? What settings work best, for a non-HDTV? That capture card is just an example. I'd expect to pay a maximum of £30 for a capture card. I just want one that works easily, so that I understand how to work it, and that it'll work with the set-up I have. If ANYONE can help, I'd be grateful, because I'm completely lost.
  17. Uncharted 2 on the Hard playthrough. I need to finish the game on Hard and then Crushing for the Platinum trophy. I'm playing the original on Crushing and it's tricky, as you'd expect. I'm about chapter 4 or 5 at the moment in the original, and chapter 5 on the sequel.
  18. Mpilk, if the account isn't used after 6 months of activity, then I think it's deleted by Sony. See this link, it's not official at all, but it might be true - http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090322215755AAY4mQr I haven't seen another answer like that though, so it's probably fake. Best thing to do would be to contact Sony via phone, to get the definitive answer.
  19. Double post, but 3 gameplay videos, of poor quality, have leaked onto Youtube. It looks like a lucky person has got their hands on a copy of MW2. There's 3 videos, I haven't yet watched them, but will edit this in a sec. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=226012 They're all at that link. There's no sound and the quality is very poor, but you get to see the default 3 starting classes, the box art, the new recorded gameplay mode, a few different menus, and a few other things. The 3 default classes are: Grenadier: FA-MAS and SPAS-12 (French) Observaneur: something 45, too hard to see, and Colt Anaconda as a side arm. (French) Saralege? Hard to see. A LMG, and a Bazooka, AT4 something, lol. Crap quality video - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT4 And the 2 other classes unlocked when you are promoted a few levels: blacked-out text, but is the Sniper class: Barrett .45 CAL, and USP .45 as a sidearm. blacked out text, looks like the Manual Spawn Point class: The spawn point device, and a PP2000.
  20. @ WRX22B1998, I don't have an 80GB, I have the 40GB version, but I'll upgrade the hard-drive in the near future. Had it since April 2008, and went online for the first time in June or July 08, I believe. I've had no problems with it, apart from a few occasional niggles like the blue screen thing and occasionally discs not reading.
  21. BTW, as a side-note, if you do get a PS3, and this applies to everyone here who has a PS3, DON'T USE THE INTERNET BROWSER. This led to me nearly losing all my data, and also on another forum, someone posted yesterday saying the same thing happened on his friends PS3 - they were browsing the web on the PS3, then a blue screen came up in a foreign language, and then it was as if the PS3 had just been plugged in for the first time. It said - insert the cable into the controller', like it does for the first time you set up your PS3. All your account details will be lost - when you turn on the PS3, by the side of each account you have, a star will be beside it. The log-in details for PSN will be lost. If you try to re-enter your details, they won't work. So, make a new account, click 'sign-up for Playstation Network', then click 'use existing account', then enter your details again and you'll have your account back. I'd advise everyone with a PS3 to write down both their e-mail adresses for every account, and their passwords, in case this happens to you. As far as I'm aware, this only happens when you use the PS3 internet browser. It shouldn't happen with any other program on PS3. PROOF: http://uk.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26797939 http://uk.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26979679 http://uk.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26815454 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5HuGZBI77c Additionally, I'd also steer clear of changing your Audio settings, because apparently that could lead to the same blue screen, or even worse, a 'red screen of death', which is very hard to fix. At that point, sending it to Sony is the only option.
  22. If they just re-use the original system for the PC, which I can't see happening, then the pre-orders would come flying back in again. They've screwed themselves over, not that I care. If I hadn't already pre-ordered my MW2 version, I might have gone to Leicester Square to see for myself.
  23. My personal opinion would be the PS3, mainly because I own a PSX, PS2, PS2 Slim, a PSP and PS3. The online gaming is free, you get a *free* Blu-Ray player as well, and most of the games on 360 are on PS3 as well. The downsides are that downloads take a while on the PSN, there aren't that many exclusives, and it's rather expensive, although a lot cheaper than it used to be - £400! The 360 offers good value for money, with a huge back catalogue of games and a large amount of exclusives like Halo, Project Gotham Racing and Mass Effect, along with a superior online service, although you have to pay to use that. They also have the forthcoming Splinter Cell Conviction game as an exclusive. Downsides, obviously the RROD is a big sticking point and is the biggest downside. I suppose the console is rather noisy and I saw on Watchdog that if you move the console when it's on and it has a disc inside, it will scratch the disc, and Microsoft will say it's your fault. The same might apply to PS3 as well. It's down to personal preferance. If you've owned a PS before and are interested in the PS3, then get it. If you fancy a change, then try the 360.
  24. But still, look at GH Metallica. That has classic GH songs on it. They'll probably continue churning out the same old crap, but if they throw a game or 2 our way with the likes of Slayer on it, then the hardcore GH players will be happy.
  25. I'm going to go for the original Uncharted platinum after I get the Uncharted 2 platinum, which should be in the next 4 or 5 days. In the original, I just struggle with Brutal combos. I looked on the net earlier and I think I know how to do it now, you gotta pause for a brief second before continuing the combo, and the Steel Fist combo is easy. I learnt how to do that yesterday, and got the UC2 trophy for it. Haven't tried it for UC1 yet, but I will.
