  1. Quite a few currently, all from the magnificent American TV show, The Wire: Way Down In The Hole - all 5 versions, by The Blind Boys Of Alabama, Tom Waits - which is the original from the 1980s, The Neville Brothers, Domaje, and Steve Earle. Assume The Position - Lafayette Gilchrist Step By Step - now one of my all-time favourite songs, by Jesse Winchester Feel Alright - Steve Earle Fast Train, another stone-cold classic, by Solomon Burke I Walk On Gilded Splinters - Paul Weller The Body Of An American - a fantastic Irish-American song, by The Pogues Efuge Efuge, again another great song, and entirely fitting, by Stelios Kazantzidis The Life, The Hood, The Streets - Mullyman The Fall - one of the greatest end themes for a TV show, by Blake Leyh. I'll post video links to them tomorrow, if possible. Step By Step is almost impossible to locate, so not that one. If you've heard it, you don't need any reminding about it. It's probably one of your favourite songs as well. And I gotta re-quote this, from MishoM. I don't think anyone noticed it before:
  2. It would be hard to track who leaked what and when, but even with the high probability that you'll get away with it, I wouldn't risk it. If I had 1 account and had only just signed up to the PSN, then maybe, but not after over a year. And for GT5, well, I heard it takes about 3 months, or even 6 months, to make 1 car, and the total amount is about 560. However, rumours are it'll be out Xmas this year, so who knows. I predict it'll slip into 2010, and come out in the summer.
  3. Race Driver GRID again. It's a fun game, but I hate the Le Mans sections. I'm fine when it's daylight, but at night you just cannot see the track, even with the bright headlights. So much so, that I end up using all my flashbacks, and have to either restart for another 24 minutes of annoyance, or retire and get no rep points.
  4. It looks pretty boring to me. It's a flight simulator, sure, but I don't know who can sit there and pretty much do nothing, apart from maybe hitting a few buttons and gently moving the mouse, for even 10 minutes. I'd throw myself out of the window. One of my old friends owned a similar game, showing me him taking off and landing, and it was just boring. When I played, I was crashing it and landing as badly as I could, that's the only fun really.
  5. The first post said that this topic carrys on from whatever post is last. The community thread is probably for more mundane things, I don't know. Ths thread just rolls on by itself.
  6. Holy.. But this is only a drop in the water for Microsoft. EDIT: You already know why I edited..
  7. He was fine, in the end. Although, a perfectly nice pair of jeans were ruined with a small bloodstain on them. Now, he has a big bandage around his thumb, and when me and my mum went to pick him up, he did the 'hitchhiking' signal, and I started laughing. It looks massive on his hand, like one of those giant rubber fingers you see at American Football matches.
  8. Well, my dad was rushed to hospital by my mum about 20 minutes ago, after accidently cutting his thumb open with a Stanley knife. I've never used one of those, but my mum said it was quite a deep cut, so it'll need a few stiches I think. He had a cloth around the thumb, and it was pretty much completely red, so he'll be seen to soon, I hope. He'll phone or text us about what's happening a bit later. I'm squeamish about anything like this, I couldn't bring myself to look at the thumb. I'm sure he'll be fine.
  9. If you had a PS3, I would advise you to stay well away from this turd of a game. And to everyone else, if you do apply for a key, you'll only be downloading a very poor racing game BETA. Don't bother, is what I say.
  10. That story is just typical of politicians. They're all gutless twats. The recent expenses scandal in the UK was even worse. MPs were claiming for irrelevant things like shampoo, and horse manure, and packets of biscuits.
  11. I have a BETA code which I'll activate later, but if you're interested, try and get one here - http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=220493 BTW, you MUST read these rules before you apply for one: By participating in the SuperCar Challenge Beta Trial you are bound by the following conditions: * Participants must not capture screenshots or footage of any part of the trial, whether it be for personal use or public use. * Participants must not receive any financial gain from this Beta Trial. * Times, achievements and ratings will not be carried over from the Beta Trial to the full game experience. * System 3 Software Ltd cannot take any responsibility for language used over Voice Over IP. As for the game, go to this Wiki link to read about it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercar_Challenge. I'll post an opinion when I've actually played it. It's probably be buggy, because it's a BETA, but I'll get to see the game mechanics at least. EDIT: Er. OK. I've played the BETA. Apparently it's old code now, and is at least a month old, but that's no excuse. It's due for release quite soon, so why is it so shoddy? The engine noises sound like high-end vaccum cleaners, the game runs like driving through treacle, all the tires are seemingly popped, making handling and turning any corner over 60 MPH difficult, and of the 3 cars to choose from, the only one which handles well is the Ferrari, and the code for that could well have been recycled from the Ferrari Challenge game. It's just a badly made game, but maybe the final version will be miles better. I don't think you should download this, if you get a key. It's rubbish.
  12. After watching Season 5 of The Wire, which focused on the media, that's how I imagine all media companies to be like. Scrambling around for stories at the last minute, and, if, to use The Wire again as an example, a serial killer is threatening the homeless sections of the city, they'll throw as many homeless and ' a day in the life' articles as possible, to show they're 'on the ball'. Jumping on the bandwagon, basically.
  13. I suppose I should throw my opinion into the mix as well. I don't believe in God. Many people do, and they regularly pray, but I don't believe anything special comes from it. If something does happen, it might not be related to you praying occasionally. It might just be a form of karma, good or bad. I don't believe one person, or being, can create a whole universe in 7 days, it seems preposterous. What I regularly think of, is who gave God the powers to do what he does? Where did he come from? That's why I'll probably never believe he exists. It's my opinion. I could be right, or wrong, but ultimately, it doesn't keep me up at night. @ Spaz, they're always quick to dismiss other religions. Very, very arrogant to do so.
  14. Where did this guy go?

  15. In about an hour and a half, 12AM UK time, if anyone's interested, I'm gonna have a session of COD4 on PS3. I'll play on my main account for about an hour, but then I'm going onto my 2nd account.
  16. These pizza jokes will never stop, but they are quite funny.
  17. lol, banned again.

  18. My list will never be definite, because there's too many to choose from. Films: 1. L.A Confidential 2. Goodfellas 3. The Dark Knight 4. Terminator 2 Judgment Day 5. The Shawshank Redemption Games: 1. Metal Gear Solid 1 2. COD4 Modern Warfare 3. Crash Bandicoot 2 4. Wario Land 5. Grand Theft Auto Vice City It's hard to do a list when you own so many great films and games. I could easily have included Wall-E, The Matrix, Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, The Usual Suspects, Se7en, Saving Private Ryan, The Last Samurai, Fight Club, etc.
  19. This brings me around to the thread I started which got locked. Just have 1 birthday thread for fuck sake. You can see who's birthday it is at the bottom of the main page anyway.
  20. Did you watch Borat with your Step-Aunt, or on your own? Because I wouldn't like watching it with a parent-type figure for the embarrassing bits in the film. Like the naked chase scene, with Borat and the rubber fist, and the naked wrestling as well. Phucked up. And I got quoted twice in the new issue of PLAY, yay, go me. It's gotta be at least 15 quotes now in that mag for me.
  21. Race Driver GRID, on PS3. I'm about 100,000 points away on each licence to get to the top tier.
  22. The Bossman

    Cool box arts

    I like these ones:
  23. Oh, I didn't know the game was free. I might well download it then, but in a few days maybe.
  24. I don't have that game, which is too bad. If anyone wants to play some GTA4 later, around 10PM UK time on PS3, I'd be happy to play with you. I'll also be playing Race Driver GRID as well, online for a short period, probably after GTA4.
