  1. Just found a pretty nice youtube video, with 101 tips in 5 mins. It's part meant for lulz, part really helpful.
  2. What ism saying is that you should try and not ask. You clearly already have the game, so it's just making more hassle for yourself (and everyone involved) by asking.
  3. You're seriously not making sense.. You ask if you can run a game, we advise against it, and they you come out with ' I can' Why not just run the game instead of wasting our time? After one instance of claiming to be able to run GTAIV, you said you couldn't... You're clearly wither just asking out of boredom, which is stupid and spamming, or claiming your system can run games that it can't.
  4. Well, a quick google threw this my way. So yeah, i assume most of them are compatible back to 7. And there's also a site here, but it seems to have less than 10 tutorials for PS7.
  5. Open carcols.ide (in your DATA folder in SA directory) in notepad. They're all defined at the top for you.
  6. Cheers for the links TM, I've added them in and stuff. Coming soon: Resources section, links to some of the web's best free PS resources.
  7. This is the 'Epic Photoshop Help Thread' - somewhere you can find links, advice, help and resources, all in one place. Anyone is free to post here with any questions, and all the content I post here is free. The guide is broken down into digestable sections, as follows: Starting out Improving your technique Tutorials - Starting Out - Starting out in photoshop for the first time can be pretty weird, there's a whole load of buttons you don't understand, which don't work, and strange panels showing strange numbers and stranger diagrams. The best way to overcome this is to... try everything out. Here's a diagram which outlines the basic tools you'll find on screen and what they'll do. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> Part 1 - Interface, tools, and shortcuts Part 2 - Typography, photo manipulation, and buttons Part 3 - Tutorials, sites and inspiration </table> 10 Ways to improve your Photoshop skills This is a simply fantastic article that has already helped me no end. It contains loads of practical, attainable advice that genuinely help. Included in the list are a load of fantastic tutorial sites (most are linked in the section below for convenience), links to blogs, galleries and the like. It's written and compiled by Steven Snell, and brought to you by PSDTuts, one of my personal favourite tutorial sites. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> 10 Ways to improve your Photoshop skills - Experimenting, Fundamentals, Blogging and more...</table> Inspiration One of the best ways to continually produce fresh, original work of a high standard is to get inspired. Even if you try to recreate something by someone else, it can push new things into your grasp, give you new ideas to apply to new pieces, and help you to see what looks good from the public's perspective. Abduzeedo's 'Daily Inspiration' is right at the top of my bookmarks list, and I find it way better than any tutorial. It helps me to keep in tune with the new design movements, and also pushes me to up my game to the same standards. It's all chosen by the public, so it's there by common vote. Even if you see nothing you like today, chances are you will tomorrow. There's about 140-something backed up 'episodes' to flick through when you're bored / have a block. Enjoy. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> Abduzeedo's 'daily inspiration' section.</table> The best Tutorial sites Yeah, a pretty big list here, so I'd recommend taking it easy, I know it's not exactly in a digestible format, for which I apologize. Also not that you should probably have at least a basic knowledge with photoshop (see the sections above) before starting. Alot of these sites are part of a huge multimedia network, and might overlap in some areas, but not to worry. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> Tutorial9PSHeroTutzorAbduzeedoHongkiatPSDtutsPSDlearningPSDfanBittBoxGood-tutorialsTutorializedZymicPegaWebPhotoshopSupportPhotoshopTipsDzine blog TutorialsGoMediaZineTutVidWeb Design LibraryPixel2Life</table> You can find a few pre - CS tutorials (for Photoshop 6 / 7 / elements) at: <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> IdigitalEmotion YellowPipe</table> Thanks to TM, EvoZ and Toxic for contributions! Shortcuts, hints and tips A nice, straightforward list, these shortcuts are all designed to speed up / increase the efficiency of your work, and make life easier, and more comfortable for you. I'll try to add to this list constantly, so watch this space. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> D</table> Resets your colour palette to black and white.<table width="" class="user-bb-table"> X</table> Swaps foreground and background colours in your palette. Stock Images: www.sxc.hu (The 'stock exchange') is a simply awesome free stock images site. You get what you pay for really, so it's by no means comparable to paid for services, but great for personal projects nonetheless. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> Stock.Xchange</table>Textures and brushes: Bittbox has one of the best, ever growing freebies sections around for Photoshop users, and is recommended by alot of the sites linked above. Not such a great selection for fonts as some, (see below for that) but for everything else, it's really good. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> BittBox - the awesome freebies section</table>Typefaces / fonts: Dafont is quite simply, the best free fonts site on the net, they have loads of files for both PC and Mac users. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> Dafont - free fonts</table>(If you don't know how to install these, see below in the FAQ's section) (doesn't exist yet) Brushes: Brushes are a great way to expand what you can do with Photoshop, making complex, professional shapes easily attainable, letting you get the effect you want much more easily and quickly. I do agree that creating smoke manually in Photoshop is dull, time consuming, and it always comes out shit anyway. There's no shame in using brushes / stock images for this kind of thing, you shouldn't let your creativity be restricted. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> Smoke Brushes - courtesy of qbrushes.</table>Also worth checking out is PhotshopStock's deviantart page, where you can get these 2 brush packs. The first is quite big in size, broken into 3 downloads, as there's a reported 40 super high res brushes. The second one is a standard ABR file, and isn't so big. <table width="" class="user-bb-table"> Brush Pack #1 </table><table width="" class="user-bb-table"> Brush Pack #2 </table>Yet another pack can be found, courtesy of getbrushes.com here Another site worth checking out is Designious, they mostly sell vector packs for a few dollars, but they have a small freebie selection, mainly samples, which can be found here. FAQs How do I install fonts? 1. Download a font file from one of the sources above. 2. If it's in a .zip file, extract it, and grab a hold of the file. 3. Right click, and choose cut/copy on the file. 4. Open Control panel, click on fonts, and paste it in there, amongst all the other files. 5. Wait for the dialog box to finish doing it's thang. 6. Load up PS, and it will be in your fonts menu. How do I install brushes? 1. Follow the directions above, up to 3. 4. Paste the brush file (.abr) into C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Presets\Brushes 5. Load up PS, and find it in your brushes menu. What is a vector? This is a quoted post by me later on in this thread, and should shed some light on the matter... This thread is awesome! How can I help? Well, you can either get posting your links, suggestions and comments in this topic, and/or wear the PS help thread userbar (below) using the following code in your sig: (This will link to this thread and show your support for the cause) All of the material in this post is copyright of it's original creator(s) and owner(s), I have simply compiled it into one place and take no credit for it's creation. So... feel free to post, comment, advise, share, form an angry mob, or criticise any of the content here. It's all just here to help you.
  8. That is quite simply awesome. Kudos to whoever made that, that's entertainment!
  9. Spam^ Have a prize! You could, you'd need to replace the model, texture, animations, and where they appeared, otherwise they'd walk around on the streets, trying to car-jack people and beat up grannies.
  10. So.. then saint's row is GTA's younger, pre pubescent brother? I've never spent longer working on a metaphor, please laugh. Does look quite lulzy to throw people in front of crap. Shame about the reported shitty port quality.
  11. All looks lovely. That taskbar looks precariously maccish... it honestly still annoys me every time, and I use one every freaking day. Hopefully you can change it so it works 'properly'
  12. Not sure when this is coming out for a full release, but if it's feasibly soon, then I'll get it instead of vista (as inevitable as death, it seems). Will dl the beta when my PC is fix'd though.
  13. I'm one of those hateful people who wears skating stuff, but doesn't skate. Like, I'll walk into a shop in town, take a look at some jackets / jeans / shoes, and the guy at the counter's all like 'Hey, you like that jacket? I've got a new 7" maple board from the guys who make that! What do you skate? Ever used abecs? How many layers do like in your board?' And I'm all like O.o and just tell him I took a bail and I'm in between boards or some shit. I just figure skating shit is designed to be tough, to withstand skating, so it'll last forever through normal wear. Plus, love the art / design connection with skate brands, and that's perfect for me. I wear my hair kinda like a skater too, I guess. Not long long, but loads longer than your typical brit teenager. I have it spiked / messed all over, but I've got kind of a little scene / emo kid fringe thing going on at the front, on the left side. I like my style to combine comfort and style, they're the 2 most important things for me. But style comes first. Oh, and I'm picky as fuck about what I wear, like what brands and stuff, call me a snob, but fuck it, I like my style.
  14. What? Seriously, could you not have just not posted? The thread title is 'what mission are you on?' If you don't have the game, or haven't played any missions, then there's no need to post. If there's a topic saying 'Can you help me find a BF injection in SA' and you don't know, don't say 'I don't know, but I do know where to find a ....greenwood. It's of no value and no relevance to anyone. I consistently delete posts like this, not just from yourself, but LOADS of members, and they don't learn. Consider this me publicly telling those people just to quit posting anything that's irrelevant or generally pointless / unhelpful. Rant over, you may continue.
  15. It's possible to maintain a decent relationship, with, of course all the realitionshippy 'benefits' and dedicate yourself to stewing in front of a PC. I've worked it down to a fine art. You know that time when girls talk, and you don't really care about what they're saying, and you kinda go 'uhhhh-huh' to everything they say. Do that whilst posting, Downloading, or playing games. They tend to stare into the distance, and not look at you, so you can do pretty much what you like.
  16. If you want people to comment on how your site is designed, post a topic with screenshots. If you give a link, it's kind of like you're linking so people join. Other than via forums, is your site going to get any other real exposure? Under the motion that 'rules is rules', this topic needs to be locked. Once again, if you're on about design, screenies in the graphics and writers forum.
  17. No, you can't buy them (besides, stealing is more fun) As for the fastest bike, Try the NRG-500. Find one at the Easter basin docks in SF, or at the top of the multi story car park in eastern Los Santos, in The vagos territory.
  18. Doesn't mean he can't be his favourite. And Claude, he kicked ass.
  19. The sandking spawns around that area, on top of the mountain where the Big Ear satellite is. The mod must be corrupted, and causing your game to crash. If you replace the mod you've got right now with a working one, it should sort itself out. If you replace the dff and txd straight to ones from another mod, the game should work fine, but we can't really supply the stock files from the game for legal reasons. As for replacements, try and land rover / range rover / big chevy / ford or some other yank tank.
  20. Seriously, this is not a topic for you 3 to swap native languages or ask each other where they are and 'what's up'. Either talk about Ice's request, or take it to PM, IM if you want.
  21. What? Seriously, stuff like this is just spam. As for the work, it's not 'all there' atm, you've still got some stuff to learn... But you've got the grasp of experimenting with stuff, and that's the best way to learn, IMO. Keep it up.
  22. It's all coded up to display the actual number. Check the member number at the bottom of the page, and the one on the homepage
  23. most intelligent? oh yeah, I'm going to look on Iraq's situation... and yes, he can increase US security while not waging a war... I know it is very possible Things happen in war that stop other things happening. Factors adjust whether or not things happen as they should. Bold: You misunderstand me, i was pointing out that you contradicted yourself. Anyway, it's 4am, so, i'mma get some sleep.
  24. So the President's advisory board not good enough for you? Some of the most intelligent military minds on earth? I see... This war was never going to end 'well'. No war ends 'well'. 'War' is a negative word, it denotes killings, deaths, collateral. In an ideal world yes, our troops would go in, neutralize the threat and leave. But no, it's because the threat continues that they have to stay longer. Also, you now think bush should have planned his war better. But earlier you said... he should've increased US security and not done anything? Well, well.
  25. the war is supposed to be over, and the aftermath is "recession" suicide bombings in Iraq are mostly because of the American presence there ONCE AGAIN.... Money more important than lives? If we hadn't gone to war and spent that money we'd be financially fine, but people would be dead. And maybe suicide bombings are because of the American presence, but it saves them doing it on my fucking doorstep, they can stick to their own.
